Excerpt from Field Report
To: Tomax and Xamot
From: Guardsman Faces, stationed undercover in the Congo

"Things are seriously going to hell down here. Fred VII has grown even more paranoid than before. He's been locked away in his private quarters for almost a week. God knows what he's doing in there. The day before he decided to deprive us of his company, he ordered all Coil forces to be put on high alert, with no explanation whatsoever. And he never gave the order for us to stand down, so as you can imagine, tensions are running high. From what I can tell, Bludd is running the show in Fred's absence. Which doesn't really work out, because most of the men absolutely hate Bludd. One in particular has become a thorn in my side. He calls himself Skullbuster. His real name is Link Talbot, and he was one of Cobra's last recruits before the Civil War. He trained extensively with Croc Master before the split. As such, the guy sure knows his way around the wilderness. I doubt there's anyone or anything alive that he couldn't track. A few days ago, right after Fred stopped showing his face, two grunts tried to abscond with a crate full of arms. We figure they were planning on selling them to some local warlord. They made off in the night, and it was morning before it was discovered they were gone. Skullbuster went after them. About an hour later, one of the Coil patrols found them, disemboweled and hanging in a tree. At first we thought some animal had gotten to them. Then we examined their corpses and realized that animals don't use serrated combat knives. Anyway, I think Skullbuster is getting suspicious of me. It's hard to explain, really, but every time I encounter him, he gives me this look, like he knows who I work for. If I didn't know better, I'd say he can smell it on me. At any rate, if he continues to be a problem, it may become necessary for me to abandon my assignment. I'm the best at what I do, but I wouldn't last two minutes against Skullbuster."

Thanks for reading. And now the pic:
Image

Skullbuster:
Head: 25th Serpentor, heavily modified
Mask: SHS Ghost Rider face
Bullets: DTC Range Viper (modified)
Everything Else: 25th Ripper

This custom was the result of a lazy Sunday afternoon and nothing else to do. I based him largely on his recent comic appearance, with some modifications. And I rolled Link Talbot into the character, because when I was modifying him with the dreds, he started looking a bit like Link (before I glued on the mask, of course). Also, the weird area on the boots where it looks like I got sloppy with paint...actually that's black paint cleaning up Hasbro's overspray. It blends perfectly in person, but the camera flash did weird things to it and made it look gray.

Very cool, I especially like his mask. Much more sinister than the usual Range Viper fare.

That is genius, Darko. Another great idea, and great custom to back it up.

Cool...I think I'd have preferred a little less Drednok looking shirt...all I see is a funskool Purple Ripper...a Modded Blue-shirt top or somthing might make more sense...either way I see what you're going for.

Although I feel that the purple shirt and yellow grenades kind of take away some of the menace to the character, I think the rest of this custom is top notch! The mask is very creepy and highly effective.

The shirt is actually directly from the DD version:
