I've been wanting to make a Sparks custom for a while but couldn't find a head I liked. The McQ Rebel Trooper captured the young look I wanted. The only problem I had with it is its a bit big so the regular 25th helmets don't quite fit and I had to go with the larger Breaker helmet. I like the look though as it makes Sparks look a little more out of place on the battlefield which is how I see him. He's a headquarters support guy, not a frontline combatant so the ill-fitting helmet fits. I'm not happy with the hands but he'll mostly be a background character for me so I didn't swap them out. This is probably the easiest custom I've done even though it took me weeks to find the right head.

Head: Star Wars McQuarrie Concept Rebel Trooper
Body, belt, knife: 25th Rock 'n' Roll
Helmet: 25th Breaker
Radio backpack: PTE

And here's the figure I posted a couple weeks ago asking for names for. Taking the name pluv suggested I went back and touched up the camo a bit with some black in addition to the OD green I put on it before. Add in a Marauder machete and a little weathering on the rifle and he was done.

Head: SW Clone Trooper
Body, knife, webgear, pistol: 25th Stalker
Hat: Crosshairs
Rifle, machete: Marauder Inc.

Codename: Howler
Jungle Tracker

File Name: Aguilar, Luis
Primary Military Specialty: Jungle Warfare
Secondary Military Specialty: Translator
Birthplace: Bogata, Columbia

Howler's mother was a secretary in the U.S. Consulate in Columbia and his father was a local businessman. He attended college in the United States and joined the Army's R.O.T.C. program. After graduation he served in the Army as a translator and due to his heritage and linguistic skills he was assigned to guard detail for several U.S. diginitaries and politicians visiting South America. It was during one such "fact finding" mission that he first came into contact with Cobra when they attempted to kidnap the delegation he was protecting. His bravery and actions during this encounter saved the lives of the entire delegation which happened to include General "Hawk" Abernathy and he was offered a position with the Joe team. Howler serves as one of the teams jungle experts and in his downtime he works with the intelligence officers translating intercepted enemy messages.

"Howler is one of the bravest and most self-sacrificing members of the team. He has developed a close friendship with Dial-tone and Sparks as they all share a love of languages. The three friends can often be found in the rec room having a conversation in multiple languages at once."

Great job MS. That's a spitting image of Sparks, man that head is dead on. I'm really liking your Howler too. That camo is sweet, and he's got a fine selection of weapons also. Looking forward to the next ones.
