With all the great 25th Anniversary customs folks are doing lately, I found myself inspired.
Between the comic packs and the single packs, we seem to be on track to getting the original 13. But I'm animpatient guy (which is why I customized a Hawk and a Breaker before they announced and released those figures, but I never learn).
The release of comic pack Hawk enabled me to repurpose my existing Hawk custom and, while I was at it, I thought I'd revisit my Grunt.
After playing around with a few ideas, I settled on Short Fuze. He's always been one of my favorites and a largely underutilized character.
So below are my versions of Grunt and Short Fuze as I think they'd look in a comic pack based on Marvel issue #4 (Operation: Wingfield).
First, Fuze:

As you can see, I tried to incorporate the color scheme of the original 82 figure, like Hasbro did with comic pack Hawk.
Then, Grunt:

I'm not sure why, but that head felt perfect for Grunt to me. I also went with brown web gear in the spirit of staying as true to the original figure's colors as possible.
Here's a shot of them posed with the others from my Original 13:

You can see I customized my Hawk's hands. You can also see my custom Breaker is still active. He'll be decommissioned and repurposed after I get the comic pack figue in hand. Maybe I'll turn him into Clutch?
So what do you guys think?
