Lost to time in the launch of Capt John Creighton's 'Farscape' ship and its experimental wormhole drive, Capt Rogers in the command ship from which the Farscape emerged for its testflight curses his luck. The Farscape ship appears to have launched intact but the lingering gravity effects of the wormhole have caught his ship Ranger it its pull and he is pulled far off and away from Earth orbit. Mission oversight rules his ship and mission a total loss despite being unable to find any debris anywhere in the Earth/Moon system.

The Ranger shuttle had been pulled nearly 2 lightyears away from Earth/Moon where the Farscape had emerged from the Ranger's belly without incident and launched on its own further journey into the unknown.

But all Buck Rogers knew what that the bright light and energy pulse that knocked him on the ship's ass from the inside lost him everything. It would be centuries before he could reconstruct that his shuttle had been sent via a wormhole 'leak' a relatively short distance of the total wormhole length, without entering the wormhole or hyperspace itself but rather being dragged along in the spatial warp as the wormhole dives down into the universe's dimensions. Once he'd become untethered to the long-gone Farscape his ship return to normal Newtonian physics, which was a disaster for Capt Rogers.

His ship was without any power whatsoever, circuits either long-discharged or quickly shorting out once connected. Without power the ship quickly became too cold to survive and Rogers climbed into the advanced auto-doc in hopes of being in a cryogenic coma a few weeks until NASA finds and rescues him. It would be centuries before he's told he emerged from the wormhole wake 1.57ly from Earth lost in the Oort Cloud and that it was mere chance his drifting path brought him back in Sunward instead of out.

Here, we see Captain William 'Buck' Rogers working his new patrol duties with the woman Colonel Wilma Deering that told him these facts upon his thawing back at the New Chicago Starport where he now lives with his AI Minder, Twiki.

Buck and Wilma are both 100% MTF builds with a bit of papercraft for their collars, and left-arm interfaces and pistols taken from the Thandie Newton Solo figure. Twiki is a bash of the vintage Mego figure with MegaConstrux.

love it. if I wasn't so invested in my build for my team, I'd already be rethinking it and looking hard at MTF. That first shot is great, and I love the helmets also. I'm not 100% feeling the head for a Gil likeness, but that's a small nitpick.

Great use of the pistols! They have a similar shape, but look waaay more streamlined for an updated look. Stealing that.

Oh and the custom figures are pretty good too. :D
