Been a long time coming in this post.

It starts back in 97 when I was walking thru Toys R Us and saw this set of figures Bronze Bombers and said, "Look at those G.I. Joe rip offs." (at the time I did not know they were molds actually purchased from Hasbro) and passed on them.

Fast forward many years later I think any Joe collector knows that modern me is still pissed at 97 me for passing on a set that is now both highly prized and super expensive.

Over time as I grew as a customizer, and the help of various casters, model hobby shop owners, Marauder...and ebay I am now able to present modern customs of the 97 Bronze Bombers and Pryo Band of Thugs.

A couple of notes.
As usual...I have took some liberties in the set.
Most notably are the difference in heads. The heads are vastly different that the originals. Partly because those are very generic looking. Also because I went with whatever was available.
I at some point will post the Joe style custom file cards I made as well, but for now...

Nice work on these. Your designs are different enough from Hasbro parts that it still keeps the same aesthetic.

I passed on them too, since they weren't GIJOE. I passed on a number of lines because they weren't GIJOE.

Is that all the original filecards too? I have most of them and have been looking for a few.

They are indeed...went thru hell and back trying to find a decent copy of them online. Which was not always easy but I was able to find pics well enough that I could swipe the art and read the text to recreate them in a modern format.

Looks great. I do have to admit, I would switch a few of the heads around and they would fit the art better.

I’d buy this set. I’m still surprised we never saw even an homage to it at any point from Hasbro or Master Collector.

I really like that No Flak, he'd be a great desert themed Joe!

I was out of collecting action figures by 97 so I dont even recall these but a quick Google search later and you nailed it. They all look really good. Great line to bring to the modern era.
