That really works, and I like how you carried over the yellow. I had to double check the helmet to see that the head was Lift Ticket.

The helmet is Lift Ticket but the head is someone else. He doesn't have the stupid smirk. Is it Shipwreck? Good custom but where's the parts list.

Nice work. I agree, carrying the yellow over was a great idea.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

The parts list:
Head: Lift Ticket (modified as a helmet with a Bazooka v3? head inside of it)
Arms: Dialtone (modified)
Chest: Heavy Metal
Waist: Lift Ticket
Upper Legs: ???
Lower Legs: Scoop

Scooping out the helmet was the most work I've done with a rotary tool so far. Not fun.

I started the figure off with the ultra thin beard that the original figure has, but it just looked silly so the fuller beard appeared.

Painting the chest in one color instead of as a shirt and jacket hides the "Heavy Metal" look and helps it work as a flight suit. The yellow is a carry-over from the original figure. The silver for the handguns is a bit loud, but there was already a lot of grey going on and I wanted to punch up the palette a bit.

I like it. Makes Cannonball look like he has a purpose instead of the thrown together guy that got packed with a vehicle.

Fantastic! This custom is great all around: parts selection, paint apps, the major mods to the head, etc.

I have a Cannonball ARAH version in progress, you beat me to it. Aaarrghhh!

Thanks again for the compliments, guys. I'm glad some people still like RAH stuff as much as me.

What direction are you going with yours, Feek? I started out knowing that I wanted to keep the helmet and use the Heavy Metal torso. Everything else grew from there. The head (or face of the head) is probably the part I'd do over. I went with the fuller beard, but the pimp-like pencil beard is more central to the character than I initially thought.

If you redo the head...would you think to use a Heavy Duty head...just painted caucasian...like the Hasbro version?

As is I think he's a little on the bland side...he needs somthing to break up the grey.

I think I'd change the lower body...maybe use the legs and waist from the Ace v2 figure or one of its Repaints. That way you'd have more sculpted details and you could add a bit more interest to the figure overall.

I am using the waist and legs of Lift -Ticket. The torso of Countdown (v1, '89) although I'm not a big fan of that torso. I was unsure of the arms maybe Stretcher (v1, '90) or CrossCountry's (v1 '86). I hate to use CCs, I feel that they are over used. The head I was torn on. Like Nova had suggested I was going to repaint Heavy Duty's head (v8, '04). But I'm kicking around using the head of Heavy Duty (v2 '93) or a modified Tunnel Rat (v1 '87). So I'm still dragging my butt in the parts selection phase.
