What color should I paint these chairs?

What color should I paint these chairs to insure best universality in future diorama use?

Years ago I got these great Joe scale chairs from a dollar store. I just need to paint them to hide the geigh decor on the seats. I've had these for a long time and every time I think about painting them I can't make up my mind on color and then I just set them aside.

In all of the offices at my job every single wood chair is a shade of natural wood finish. I think brown would be best unless you want to strip the paint and finish it.

I'm going to go "against the grain" and say skip the wood finish in favor of white.

I'm seeing that chair shoddily painted in white sitting in a darkened room with Outback tied to it and the Interrogator beating the Hell out of him.

But that's just me.
