*New pics in later post*

I finally decided to do a custom that wasn't a part of a GP, but since my skills are kinda small, I usually just change some colors.

Over the years, I've been a bit frustrated that the original Maj Bludd was in a brown jumpsuit, and while the arm cover was nice, a non-moveable elbow was not the best thing for a poetry-writing mercenary.

I replaced the original arms with arms from an 86 Beachhead, and painted the chestplate grey and the top of this jumpsuit a nice dark blue.

Unfortunately, my hand isn't as steady as I would like, but here it is.

I like it! I always thought Major Bludd would look better in Cobra Blue. And the elimination of the solid arm is always a plus.

However I have to disagree on the jumpsuit thing. I'd actually like to see the pants painted to match the shirt. But that's just me.

Great job!

Looks nice; never was a huge fan of the solid arm either. Slap a little paint on his dogtags & you're all set.

The steady hand thing I get. A smaller brush would help quite a bit for this. You really need to go back over the edges with the blue to make the vest look like it isn't bleeding onto the shirt. I like the blue you used, but I agree the blue shirt and the brown pants don't look good together. While you're at it, those boots could use a coat of black to cover up their wear. I'm really glad to see some more customs from you and look forward to some more.

After some more work, here's the new look:

After watching the MASS Device again, I realized that's where I liked the grey vest from. Hopefully the solid blue jumpsuit makes him look a little better.

Absolutely better, but i have a suggestion. Paint the whole torso grey, then repaint over the non vest parts blue. It'll give it a cleaner look.

You also want to hit the dollar store and pick up a flat brush called a shader for doing the around the armor work.

Looks good. He'd blend in nicely with some Cobra troops.

VERY nice. I LOVE the blue jumpsuit with the grey armor, it works very, VERY well IMHO. Another one to add to my neverending pile of stuff that will never get done

I'd love to see him leading a squad of Cobra Troopers :)

Looks good.

I would put some gloss on his boots, as Seb is the person that likes to have shiny boots.

I did my major bludd in black

The color is much more forgiving, once you try it versus blue, you'll start to see why night ops figures are so popular, as well as SE customs, :O

Keep it up, the steady hand will most likely come.

I really like the blue look as well. Looks like something he might wear when he first started working for COBRA. Then he progressed to his individual brown uniform. I think if you touched up the paint around the vest just a little more, and detailed the dogtags, it would really bring it together. I think it's a really original take on his look.

Major Bludd looks good in blue. I like the grey armor too. This look is similar to Major Bludd (V2):
