Tasked with breaking Imperial jamming of New Rupublic communications and jamming Imperial communications and scanning technology, the New Republic Counter Measures Troopers carry heavy equipment into battle zones to augment larger fixed counter measures emplacements which can be easily targeted. Deployed in four-man squads, three troopers carrying equipment that boosts the signals from the control unit carried by the squad leader, these brave sentients put their lives on the line to ensure that important New Republic signals can get through and prevent Imperial forces from coordinating their battle efforts. Counter Measures Troopers undergo standard infantry training before they specialize their training so that every trooper can hold their own in battle without having to have much needed infantry forces diverted from other missions to protect them. Each Counter Measures Trooper carries a standard New Republic blaster rifle, a helmet with a fully integrated comm suite, and a backpack mounted jamming resistant long range comm unit with an old-fashioned handset back up (many troopers prefer them to the more modern palm-sized cylindrical units as they are less prone to getting lost on the battle field while dodging enemy fire).

Notes:
I actually built these guys almost 2 years ago but only just got around to finishing them up today. I purposely chose to use POTF2-era parts as I wanted these guys to be fairly muscular looking as they have to lug around extremely heavy equipment all day, hence the larger frames.
