As a special Halloween treat (or trick, I suppose, depending on how it turned out), I thought I'd throw up a sneak peek at my forthcoming dio story, "Hide & Seek."

http://www.checkpointalpha.com/wb/pages/dio-stories/bludd-fire/hide-seek-sneak-peek.php

This is pretty much the first half of the first chapter, and I've got lots of finished chapters stockpiled already so that, once it starts rolling out, it won't stop 'til it's done.

I'm targeting Thanksgiving for the "official" premiere. Hope this whets the appetite 'til then.

Great stuff.
You do miracles with those Microman hands, I must say. I see people use them just to have more poses but you use them to truly bring your characters alive.

Also, that's a pretty clever excuse to explain your Cobras' changes from old sculpt 6-pack figures to the DTC stuff. :-P

Thank goodness-- I was dying for more tales from your Joe-verse. In fact, in the past two days I've re-read "Beginnings" and "Blood & Fire". This is what I'd hoped we'd get from Reloaded instead of what was actually released.

Off to read it now!

I love the small details in there. You're characters aren't just standing around which is all too easy a set up for a dio-artist to fall into. I love that whole passing of the knife thing. And Baroness holstering the pistol. Great stuff.

Well done! The photography was immersive and the angles varied nicely.

That was cool, and I never tire of seeing that MCC in any way, shape, or form.

I echo the praise on the use of the MicroMan hands. You took those to an entirely different level. Awesome.

Great preview - can't wait to see the rest!

And I'm with Cap - I love what you've done with the MCC. I've had one sitting in the "Man Cave" for a year now waiting to convert it to a Cobra HQ, but haven't taken the time. I'm feeling motivated now :D

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

I know it's been way too long since I last put something out, but I hope the whole story will be worth the wait.

And I'm really glad you appreciate the work with the Microman hands. It turns what could be a two-hour photo shoot into an all-afternoon affair, but to know the intended effect is coming across makes it all worth while.

Also, Cap, if you like that MCC set, just wait until you see my favorite set from this story arc. Oh, wait...I'm pretty sure you've seen it already.

;)

Great opening chapter so far, Spin. I'm really psyched to see where this goes. We've had somewhat of a drought on dios lately, so this sneak preview was very gratifying.

HOT HOT HOT...LoVE it!

Microman hands do wonders on core characters. Micro men them selves are a [LASER BLAST] to pose as there head and hands tend to fall off on me constantly.

I totally know what you mean, Hulkster. I love the way Microman figures look, but trying to get them to hold a pose for photos without cumbersome and obtrusive stands is just so frustrating. Which makes what you've been able to do with the latest JCW Pay-per-View that much more impressive.

I'm gradually outfitting all of my main characters (pretty much all of the Joes and most of the Cobra faces) with Micro hands or, at the very least, swappable swivel wrist hands. I just can't imagine trying to convey a lot of what I want these characters to get across without that extra bit of expressiveness.
