Standard Cobra Air Lift / Extraction

I started this late spring of 2005... put the stickers on yesterday...
mounted the gun & added the ammo belt tonight.

WOW! great attention to detail! i have thought of someithing similar in the past but could never get the steam to do it, seeing this makes me rethink my customizing priorities!

I love custom vehicles, especially ones that are done really well like this one.

Great cohesive look on the team.

What toy did you use as the base for this vehicle?

thanks for all the nice comments!

the base helicopter is one of the wild animal rescue playsets from TRU -- maybe the killer whale one?

i believe the same vehicle mold has been used for a number of different toy lines for TRU, Kool Toys, etc.

this is the chopper that has a cardboard insert for a door (on the folding side)

it was originally blaze orange.
