Made this a few years ago for the desert Dragonfly (or whatever it was called). I wanted to take the best parts from the original and updated RAH Wild Bill figures and combine them.

Definetely different!

Intesting to say the least and the paint looks very smooth. Good work!

I like the beige, but I feel there's too much of it. If he had olive pants to match v1, I'd be down with it.

He looks really different and really nice, definitely a good match to the desert Dragonfly! I like the combining of his parts. Great job!

I like him. Very smooth paint job. I have to agree with the olive pants thing though. Also, it appears that the back of his hands are unpainted. Am I just seeing things, or are they indeed left unpainted?

The back of the hands are painted. The real life gloves that some pilots wear have a distinct color/texture difference for the palm side vs. knuckles side. Just adding a bit of detail.

Good eye!

Good job on the gloves. I was not sure at first if the green/grey were the best option, but they work with the other green in his outfit.

Good job on the detail work on the gloves, most would just paint them one color and leave them that way (read me in that statement).

They are nomex flight gloves, basically fire proof. The palms (wear surfaces) are leather (maybe a synthetic leather). They also are available in black/black.

Yeah, awesome detail work on the gloves. I also really like the bluing of the pistols. Nice touch! But there is something off about the figure, perhaps a little drab (especially in the center)? Overall, great paint apps.

I'd love to see him with the copter you painted him for, he looks like he'd match it nicely. Good idea.

Feek,

thanks for the technical information about the gloves. I knew how they looked, but not the reasoning behind it.

I agree that the figure's a bit bland. That's kind of what I wanted- something simple and clean using both WB figures. However, if I were to do it again, I'd probably paint the neckerchief yellow just for some punch.

Levantine,

I didn't paint a helicopter for the figure, but rather painted the figure to go with this...

I like it but were it me I'd change the arms. He's got a big ol torso/thin arm thing going on.

The colors look great though!
