Hi everyone. I'm new here and would like to show my first custom (first for Joecustoms, not first ever), Kwinn, who has always been one of my favorite characters. Please be gentle, and sorry for the bad picture quality!

Thanks, guys! :-)

Parts used:
Head: modified comic pack Kwinn
Torso: comic pack Grunt
Arms: comic pack Clutch
Waist: comic pack Grunt
Upper Legs: Sagat
Lower Legs: '91 Hawk

The picture is a little blurry, but what I can see looks AWESOME!

I wish my first custom had looked like that :)

I wish my first custom had looked half that good...excellent job, especially on the head mod.

Thanks, guys, for the kind words!

I have edited my original post as I just realized having read your replies that my wording was misleading, and I didn't want to have my first post to Joecustoms come across as a lie. I meant it was the first custom I wanted to show and have critiqued. I have been customizing for a few years now and this is one of many I have made, but definitely not the first I ever made.

Sorry about the confusion, guys, but nonetheless thanks again for the kind words! :-)

Very nice. Gotta agree with Lt...I'll be borrowing that recipe as well.

As far as I'm concerned, this is what the comic pack Kwinn should have been. Great work!

How'd you mod the head? It's a PITA to use because of the molded on collar.

Very nice. Great work all round.

I replied to this yesterday, but my post is gone. Great work! The figure looks excellent.

Thanks, guys, I'm glad you like him. I'm really happy with how he turned out.

As far the head mod goes, I remember carefully cutting the fur color away but cutting it in a way as to form the base of the chin. Then, to even everything out, I painted multiple layers of the skin tone around the chin and neck area to clean it up and form the square shaped jaw that Kwinn has. I've never used putty or the green stuff (though I would like to start) so I have to resort to painting several layers of paint to build depth, etc. It's a pretty crude way to do it but it's worked pretty well so far.

Also, I don't know if you can tell from the blurry pic, but I cut away the t-shirt part of the Grunt torso, leaving only the khaki outer shirt making it look like Kwinn is bare-chested underneath his jungle top. This looked better to me than when he had the t-shirt on.

This is what Hasbro should have made in the first place (and still can...)

Nice work!
