I just put this figure in the queue, but realized I spelled "Arashikage" incorrectly. Oh, well! Anywho...

My goal was to mix it up just a bit and create a red ninja that looked close to Storm Shadow, but without being a direct repaint of him.

The Slipstream arms are the most non-ninja parts I used, but with the wrinkles sculpted into the cloth, they blend rather well with the rest.

Another thing I wanted to improve on was the actual color of the red. The Hasbro figures either look too bright or the red looks dirty. My earlier attempts at using red spray paint also came out too bright. To get around the tomato-ish look, I sprayed a bit of black spray paint right on top of the red. It toned the brightness down to the level I wanted.

Great the details - in particular the boots/legs, and the arms are suitable enough. But it is a bit too dark for me. But it seems this comes from the actual resolution on the picture.

Yes, it's about 15% brighter that what you see. Up very very close, you tell that there's black splatter on it. More than a few inches away, though, and the black tricks your eyes into thinking it's a darker red.

I think those Slipstream arms really bring out the custom, with the wingtipped shoulders and ripped cloth. I think this could have been a simple custom that was stands out because of your enginuity.

That's one of the best customs I've seen in a long time. Seriously.

It would seem a lot these days that a lot of people rush customs, or go the other way and overdo them.

This is a perfect custom. Can't critique it at all.
Great job.

Nice work. It's nice to see a Red Ninja that isn't just Red Storm Shadow. The parts match well enough, but are distinct.
