Excerpt from the personal diary of V'nesa DeCobray:

"I do not like the Vizier. There is something very unsettling about even being in the same room as him. If even half of the stories about the abilities of the Jedi are true, there are many reasons to suspect that he may be attempting to influence my dear Cobra's actions, possibly even his very thoughts! He needs to be watched very carefully...."

From the files of General A'bernathy:

What little we know of the Vizier makes him all the more dangerous if even half of it is true.

According to hearsay, the Vizier was originally a Jedi deserter named Kris Tal'Bal. Tal'Bal apparrently abandoned his Clonetroopers in the middle of a battle and fled to parts unknown for a number of years. It is rumored that Tal'Bal, who was never held in any kind of high regard by his fellow Jedi, went mad from all of the carnage he had witnessed during the Clone Wars and began committing unspeakable acts against innocents using his Force abilities before deserting both the Order and his commission as a General in the Grand Army Of The Republic.

His trail picks up again in the last days of the Galactic Civil War when the fledgling Brotherhood Of The Serpent receives word from one of their illicit business holdings of a filthy spice addict holed up in one of the worst spice dens on Nal Hutta who exhibits Jedi traits and could be turned in to the Empire for the hefty reward offered on any fugitive Jedi. Cobra instead sees an even bigger profit to be made by having his own resident Jedi, especially one that can be easily controlled by the highly addictive spice.

It is claimed that Tal'Bal uses his abilities to invade the minds of visitors to Cobra's court and gauge their true intentions as well as to influence them to collaborate with Cobra's wishes. It is also said that Tal'Bal advises Cobra on possible future outcomes of potential plans before they are implemented. Word is that the general rank and file of The Brotherhood do not like him very much and there is even some concern that Tal'Bal might just be using his "Jedi Magic" to control Cobra's actions to further his own goals. Whether or not any of this is true cannot be confirmed at this time.

Holy crap Spec, thats some seriously nice detail work. At first glance I thought it was a statue.
Wish I could get my details to look this clean.
Rock on!

Interestig take on ol' Crystal Ball....he's a figure that would naturaly fit into the SW universe.

On the figure it's self...the details are nice...I kinda wish you would have stayed closer to the Joe figure's color scheme. Maybe not the fur collar...but that honey golden brown, and a dark grey with gold accents are really the only signature Crystal Ball has beyond his goofy Vincent Price hair.

I was hoping you'd see this post, I was curious as to what you would think about it being that you are the board's biggest Crystal Ball fan :)

I was initially going to do it in the original figure's colors but my Brotherhood are all unified by color (blue/black/red/silver), not a hodgepodge of every color in the rainbow like the mainline universe Cobras.

I figured the hair was enough of a visual tie-in to the original figure.

I really like the look of that figure. It's very clean and crisp. Did you rit dye the black or just paint it? Very nicely done.

Yah, very nice work, Speccy. Other than articulation issues on the base fig, there ain't nothing bad that could be said about that.

SWEET!

Nice work there, Spectre, you continue to amaze me.

You realize, of course, that you could to a Blue Balls version of this one and make him a Chiss?

Yeah, the hair definitely makes him identifiable as Crystal Ball. Now if only you could figure out how to include a hypno-shield...

I actually had an idea for a floating droid to go with him that would have a hypno-shield as part of it's forward assembly, but was unable to find a hypno-shield anywhere
