I’ve had dozer sitting on my work bench/bar for about 4 months now. I’ve been waiting for a really nice day to get out and get pic’s outside. He’s the second in my Devil’s Brigade Unit customs. I’ve got kinda two Joe Verse’s going. One follows the time line established in the comics ( Marvel through DD) the other follows a “real time” continuity where most of the original Joes are much older now and have retired or moved into more command positions. I’ve always been a fan of the Devil’s Brigade movie and thought a joint US/Canadian unit would be really interesting to use as the next generation of Joes.

Please let me know what you all think and thanks for taking a look!

Re: North American Joint Counter Terrorism Unit Combat Engineer

Hawk,

The second in our selection for the Devil’s Brigade is our combat engineer, call sign Dozer

File Name : Kowalski, Linus M Grade: E9

Primary Military Speciality: Combat Engineer

Secondary Military Speciality: EOD

Birthplace: Brooklyn, New York

Bio: Linus Kowalski is a 5th generation Sand Hog. His family has been building, tunnelling, and laying roads in New York since the 1900’s. Linus’s father, uncles, brothers and cousins all worked in various construction projects and brought him along to teach him the family business. By the age of 14 Linus had spend more time below Manhattan island then above it and by 18 he could drive, build, demolish or blow up just about anything related to construction. Linus wanted more for himself then to just spend life under Manhattan so at 21 he enlisted. After completing basic training he transferred to U.S. Army Engineer School at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where he received additional training in breaching, ordinance disposal and completed the Sapper leadership course.

Personal observations from Maj. Pulaski

I believe Dozer makes an excellent addition to the unit. His training as a Sapper already gives him experience in including field medicine, navigation, demolitions, air and water operations, mountaineering, mines and urban breaching. In addition he’s familiar with urban operations, reconnaissance, raid and ambush tactics.

Parts used

Head : ‘93 Leatherneck

Arms : ‘89 Rock and Roll

Chest: ‘93 Bazooka

Waist & Legs: ‘85 Footloose

He's nice, I like him. And you get extra points for ARAH too ;-)

The only thing I would change is the color of the belt - I would paint it brown like the hat and vest. Other than that, he's really nice! Well done!

First and foremost, you're a wonderful human being for embracing a solid time line. I can never figure out why people are afraid of characters aging and being replaced. That's life.

That's a good figure. Good parts and color choices.

It's always nice to see some ARAH figures roll in, too.

great part choice, and great paints. I didn't realize it was painted at first.

Wow...awesome looking custom...It's always refreshing to see new ARAH customs that really look like new figures.

I love that you went simple...solid colors, just highlighting the details on the chest sculpt...Not sure What I'd replace it with...but I think the only change I'd make is to remove that Hat from Leatherneck and put somthing else in it's place...maybe sculpt up the head and then also give him a Hard hat...from either Toolbooth, Hardtop, or eco Outback....otherwise very cool

Great paint aps! The only thing I don't like, and that was already mentioned, is the green belt. Actually, I like the green, but something else needs to be painted green also, like maybe one of the items on the vest. Its also nice to see a good old fashioned ARAH custom.

Thanks guys! I agree about the belt. I didn't actually notice it until it was pointed out. I'll have to fix that.

good choice of parts! Turned out nice, as others have said there are not too many ARAH customs anymore.

Awesome! Very nicely done. I didn't realize that torso was that cool, I didn't recognize it. I've never been a fan of those arms, but that's just me. Excellent job!

*sniff* ARAH...love.

A very simple yet effective custom. I love the mid piece chosen. Having the shirt rest below the vest is a great little touch. The colors blend nicely. A good custom. I will have to check out your others. The only complaint I have, and it's a minor one, is the gun and backpack choice. I would have gone with something different, but at the rate I do customs these days any complaint of mine doesn't carry much weight.

It's great to see some ARAH work...there aren't many of us left...and we don't do many customs. I hope the torch gets passed on.
