In the process of listening and just wanted to chime in about Wizard. I have nearly every Wizard magazine and love them. They are so much fun to back and read when I'm bored. That is all...for now.

Toyfare custom contest is where I got my start. So hearing about how Hypno and nova's paths may (or may not) have crossed much earlier was kind of neat. I remember one issue of Wizard where they talked about 80's properties and what they might look like if the hot artists of the time drew them, J Scott Campbell did GI Joe way before Devils Due had him do covers. That kind of stuff was really neat where stuff they wrote about actually made things happen in the industry.

The only custom from Wizard/Toyfare that stood out to me was when someone made a Ghost Rider figure and actually lit his head on fire to take the pic. I know exactly which issue you're talking about and it gave me a big sense of Deja Vu when I started seeing those Campbell Joe covers. I never read the Danger Girl crossover, was that illustrated by Campbell? I would have loved to see him illustrate an actual issue of Joe.
