That's really the problem with Headmasters -- there is no way a human sized being could compact enough to be a Transformer-sized head. They fudge it a bit with the altmodes, but if you look at the heads with other deluxe sized TF carbots, the heads are too small in bot mode for the vehicle. Then they give the same sized head to voyager figures, making it even more noticeable.

The big bots need to be about the size of bigger MP or leader class figures for an MB figure to even be passable as the head and it would still be too big and a bit bobble headed.

Years ago I built a fully poseable (MB style arms , ball hips and hinge knees) headmaster using a knock off headmaster robot head as a base (KO skullcruncher with the blue and yellow head bot) so i know it can be done . Maybe i still have it floating around here. I think..I'm not sure ..that these new masters are using smaller robots than the original headmasters.

Mark your point stands. The KO poseable headmaster head I made looked good on the g1 KO skullcruncher body. Perhaps it was because it was big and blocky and thus "passable".

If nothing else, you should be able to find an open-windowed MB figure at a store and compare him next to a TR bot's head to see what you're faced with.

Naw....i'm just going to admire the work ofpeople like yourself from afar. I've always liked the Transformers mythos but the toys leave something to be desired IMO. I know it's because i'm more of a "human element" guy. If Hasbro wont make what i want i'll stick to MB figures until they do. IDW has often showed humans in cybertronian tech influenced mechs in the comics. Give me a mech that transforms with a MB style figure pilot and i'll buy the TF robots as complimentary pieces.

With that said...that Mega Bloks Destiny Samsara figure ...i need that. The helmet is perfect for troops.

Check out IDW's Transformers. They're pretty 'human'. You could also get something like this to have a Joe scaled TF. Make two customs, a 1:18 and an MB, with the MB turning into the head and the 1:18 just looking like it.

That's always been my reticence over going balls-deep in TFs as well, their non-interminglability with the rest of my stuff. Since these Headmasters come with their own pilots for the various seats, there's no need to see them as failing to be human-scale in vehicle mode. It doesn't hurt that none of the ones I've gotten or seen so far are regular cars and whatnot.

I will say the MP line is, for the most part, a good fit with the MB figures (mainly car-bots). The cars are ~1:32 to the MB figs being ~1:36. The jets and tanks (if you expand into 3P lines) are, of course, way off in size, but that's kind of necessary so the characters can be in-scale in bot mode. I love the way my MB guys look scattered throughout a display of MP TFs.

The Covenant Troop pack with the Brutes has arrived in stores . The Brute Minor looks exactly like the type of humanoid Alien species a Transformer would interact with . The helmets are nice .

I may have to pick up a pack even though I generally only collect COD .

Anyone notice what a cool fallout universe you can make with these figures. I have been picking up a few here and there as they go on sell. I bought a TMNT out of the shadows casey jones, and it looks like he is wearing a vault suit. I slapped Donatello's wrist computer on him, and he had a pip boy. Then I noticed how the turtles looked like undersized super mutants. An assassins creed red coat with a zombie head makes a good Hancock, and the French revolutionaries make passable Minutemen. Halo Spartans are power armor, pirates make good townsfolk, and raiders. Call of duty figures all look like hard core survivalists, or brother hood initiates. Then with the zombies, there are plenty of feral ghouls to go around. Terminator endoskeletons serve as Synths. I am really hooked on this line. Poor wallet wants to cry. Not sure how to work in the Destiny figures yet. They haven't really hit retail in may area. Would love to hear some of your guy's ideas!

I'm not very familiar with Fallout but i definitely agree the breadth of part fodder Mega Bloks ( now Mega Construx) provides is great for universe building. I've bought many seal teams because of the black base bodes and grey Kevlar vests. They work great for just about any soldier whether modern or futuristic.

These Atlas troops are almost perfect bodies as well.

I stopped by a local Gamestop and was surprised to see a Mega Bloks display stand with some of their Destiny and Call of Duty sets. Also in the display was a Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Captain N. Reyes single-carded figure. I think this may be a promo figure for the upcoming game. I bought it for $5.99. I don't care about the game, but I really like the look of this figure, especially the clear faceplate.

I saw Spicy Bloks review of this figure the other night purely by chance . The figure reminds me of a comic based upon the Starship Troopers franchise and the miniatures from Mongoose Publishing . They gave the troopers visors instead of open faced helmets.

I'd pick up a troop pack if it were released with this base body. Mega Bloks continues to win with every release.
