Post subject:  Hulkbuster figures- Joes or not?

What does everyone think about "classifying" the Hulkbuster figures? Do you consider them to be Joe figures or not? They're made up of Joe parts with new heads (technically, the Grunt head is new).

I haven't quite made up my mind, but I'm leaning towards yes.

It's a bit easier for me to think of the Grunt-headed figure as Grunt, obviously. Emil Blonsky, well maybe that character now exists in the Joe verse outside of the Marvel Universe. Hard call.

Although they even carried the GI Joe logo, I never saw the Street Fighter figures as GI Joe. The movie-based figures, mostly Guile in different costumes, came closer.

I really grew to enjoy the NS figures and am very pleased to see Hasbro breathe new life into them.

Your thoughts, please.

I've been saying they are but I don't know what to do with them. They're a unit all their own and the Hulk Hummer is their vehicle. I just don't know if I want them to go after Hulk like creature created by Cobra, or if they're just a special unit for something else.

Who is Blonsky? That's Agent Orange.

Wow man that's deep. I am going to have to think this over.

I'm swapping out Blonsky heads with modified joe ones and keeping the grunt headed ones as "blackshirts"

They're non-Joe characters made with Joe parts.

While they could be good background fillers for dios or cannon fodder troopers, I don't see them being utilized much more beyond that. The figures look decent enough, but I've been spoiled by the 25th and can't bring myself to buy obsolete sculpts for a premium price.

I'd rather spend that money supporting the Joe line.

Not Joes. They will go under related action figures under the Hulk banner line. I'll likely account for them under one generic character heading of Hulk Figures and put them all in there. They're like Bronze Bombers or the Mortal Combat Movie figs. They need to be accounted for since they use Joe molds, but are not part of the Joe line and should not be counted as such.

For official classification: Not Joes.

For me personally: Joes.

For me, Blonsky is going to be come my Gallows Plague Trooper and the "blackshirt" is going to be Grim Skull. Now, the problem is that I bought three of the packs because I wanted to army build the "blackshirt" and headswap Blonsky. I still can't find a head that will fit on the Blonsky body though.

Agreed. Not officially Joes, but they're going to be filling some holes in my collection. I've already used the "Epic Tunnel Clash" figures as new members of my Steel Brigade.

I'm going to say no because of the molded on parts.
