Here is a look at the upcoming Target exclusive 3 3/4" exclusive Ultimate Battle Pack. This set will include the following vehicles:

- Mobat Tank (Motorized)
- Cobra Crimson H.I.S.S. Tank
- Cobra Commander's Peronal Flight Pod

This set will also include the following figures:

- Steeler
- Stalker w/Jet Pack
- Short Fuze (Second to last of the original 13)
- Cobra Commander
- Destro
- H.I.S.S. Tank Driver

Early images showed a Flint figure would also be included with this set so we went to Hasbro and asked for clarification on that. Here is what they said:

"We had originally planned on including Flint in the Mega Pack, and the image shown at JoeCon was from that stage of product development and image distribution. However when it came time for production he was ultimately cut. We hope to pursue Flint figures in the future as he is a fan favorite!"

This set is slated to be released on December 1, 2008 with a price of $49.99.

Wow. That's a great price for what's included.

Target had great success with the Star Wars Battle Packs last Christmas. They were a ton of toys for the price and sold through pretty well. A few areas saw them clearanced, but not many. If these follow suit, you'll have about 3 weeks to get one before they're gone for good. The upside with the SW sets from last year was that they were pretty well saturated and most stores got at least some. But, if you weren't there quick in most markets, you missed them. I doubt the Joes will be any different this year....

This is neat...but there's sooo much I don't want in there that I think I'll pass unless I see it on clearance.

I thought last year's SW UBP's were great. For a collector, if you leave them in the package, they look amazing. For a kid, you get a whole pile of toys for a very reasonable price. I think there are rumors of more SW UBP's on tap, and it'll be nice to see Joe getting in on it, too.

Anyone not want their Action Force homage Destro? Because he's the only one I'm interested in in the pack (I just don't have room for more vehicles), and I don't want to spend $50 for one figure.

I saw the Star Wars sets only 2 times. They had an end cap full of them and nobody seemed to be buying them. The next visit to the store they were all gone like someone came in and bought them out. I was thinking scalpers got them, but the way stuff was selling during Christmas I don't really know about that. They never hit clearance here.

If Target gets these in a decent supply, there's a better chance this year of getting them. Due to the short shipping right now of all the G.I.Joe items, it makes it look like it's selling out. If there's 5 people at least in the area buying this stuff and they only get 4 in stock, yeah they're gone. If they'll get at least 12 - 15 of these per store, we should all be set.

I look forward to them NOT being available in my area!

This set does indeed look awesome. But much like the Target exclusive vehicles, I probably won't be able to get it. I never even saw the Star Wars big battle packs, so I doubt I'll see this, either.

Darko -- IF I'm able to get it when it comes out, I'll be glad to send you my Destro. But you'll have to remind me closer to the time when it's out, and it does rather depend on my finances at the time... :-)

I don't member seeing the Flint in the line up from the JoeCon, but did they take out the Cobra Soldier? I hope that they just forgot to list him, because I really liked the colors of that Soldier. If they did, I would have taken Destro or Cobra Cammander out over the Soldier, but that may just be me.

Pass.

The set is awesome for those that don't already own multiples of these items in various color schemes, but when you already have everything in it besides a 25th Steeler and Short Fuze, the $50 value doesn't seem much of a value at all.

I just personally can't see spending $50 worth the toy money on what amounts to two figures even if it means completing the original 13.
