http://toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=9&itemid=13155 Well, the new card art is cool, at least. Still, if they're going to rerelease VvV stuff, I wish they would have used figures that haven't already been flooding the shelves for over a year. ....also, I like the random inclusion of one ARAH figure (Beach Head) and that the Sand Viper card art is actually Sand Scorpion. |

What the heck? I'm going to take this with a grain of salt, as it makes little sense for this not to have been mentioned at the convention this past weekend. However, If this is for real, I think it's a good idea. Hasbro has such a wealth of molds to choose from, RAH and VvV, that it would be silly not to try and squeeze a few more bucks out of them. We keep hearing about how Hasbro has stepped up production to meet demand for the 25th, maybe that factory IS running at full capacity and these molds are at a different one. I'm not going to hold my breath, but I'm still bummed by not getting a VvV Torch. |

Hasbro did say at the con that they were working on product for world 6 retailers (Dollar General, Family Dollar, Etc.). My guess is that these are what they were talking about. they have sold well at the dollar stores and I'm sure those retailers are pushing for more product before the movie comes out. The new packaging is there to tie this "on the cheep" line in with the main line. It wouldn't make much sence to keep producing VvV cardbacks at this point. VvV is gone but these molds are not. |

Yeah that's what I'd have to say these are. They're probably what the dollar stores will be getting. It'll be a nice way to get some extra fodder for those that need it. They have the wrong image for the Sand Viper though, or wrong figure, whichever. |

Black Dragon Ninja. Has the dragon on his chest and everything. Of course, at the same time, he also has Cobra logos molded onto him. He looks like an IG, has a Black Dragon logo on his chest, and Cobra logos on his knees...this guy has some serious loyalty issues. |

Tonight when I get to KB, I wrote down the numbers. I'll run it in the computer and see what comes up. Looking at the card sizes, I'm pretty sure these are the dollar store ones. |

That is very cool. I have no need or desire to get any of those figures, but the fact that o-ring Joes will be on shelves again makes me all warm and tingly inside. Justin |

I think every figure swapper just wet themselves a little at the possibilities. I like the idea but you know someone is going to buy these for a dollar and try to return them to a store where they cna get regualr 25th figures. And they look the same. Or at least close enough to the return people who don't check things over anyway. |

This is interesting to see that Hasbro is still providing new-sculpt figures. However, all of these appear to be leftover stock from old production runs, so I'm not getting my hopes up too much. The lack of accessories is also bizarre, but that's probably what Hasbro has to do to keep the prices down. |
