I didnt see this posted anywhere so if I missed please close this. I just got back home from Target on my home tonight from work and all the G.I. Joe figures and Indiana Jones figures now have a price tag of $7.99. I mean seriously $8 for Joe figure, when is it enough for these stores. I'm to the point now where I'm just going to start buying everything entirely online. Just with the sales tax added I can get a case of figures from BBTS shipped for cheaper. |

That is completely ridiculous. Hell, I remember when VvV packs were 8.99 for two figures and a bunch of accessories you didn't want. /old man rant |

I'ts the Dieasel Fuel baby. I started out making $60ph for a truck now to getting $87. At the 60 rate Asphault per ton was about 45 now getting 64. So I could just imagine what the 18 wheelers are getting. |

Prices are going up on everything. Everything. My groceries used to run about $65 and now run about $90. I'm still buying the same stuff I've always bought, and the same amount of stuff. Gas prices aren't going to come down... plastic is made from petroleum... so the plastic costs more. It costs more to ship, as already pointed out. I've said this before, but it would be just great for Hasbro to produce a smaller variety of figures, but the same amount . They can't keep the stores stocked as it is, and it would be nice just to be able to find the figures. Even the $2.00 Dollar General/Family Dollar exclusive figures are now $3.00. BTW, aren't we do for a new wave of them? Even if done in NS! It's a very frustrating time to be a Joe collector, isn't it? |

[makes note to print off a few more] How much are the comic packs? Still $9.99? Ask the Manager, "If two figures and a comic together cost $9.99, why does one figure cost $7.99? Shouldn't it be less than $5.00?" |

Comic paks were $11.99 at Wal-Mart the last time I checked. I don't know about Target, but mathematically, it's not making sense. Overall, though, as others have cited, it all has to do with petroleum costs, and in the caseof toys, making them, shipping them, and everything else. Get used to it... |

On Target's website, they said the coupon is no longer gonna be valid, becasue of "fradulant use". http://news.target.com/phoenix.zhtml?c= ... ID=1171550 |

ID=1171550 [in best Daffy Duck voice] "mother" That sucks. There was nothing on the coupons that said they couldn't be used multiple times. If they didn't want people using them, then the date on it should have been for a shorter/specific time. Since to my knowledge I was meeting the criteria of the coupon ("Buy $25.00 in toys, get $5.00 off") and was not altering it to get other merchandise, I don't think that falls into 'Fraudulent Use'... -//- Hey, Target. If it is a problem with people redeeming altered coupons, then don't accept the altered coupons. It sounds like the problem is the cashiers not checking. (Yes, that's simplifing it, but that is one of those 'moment of truth' situations.) If the problem is in the redemption of them, then that's where the training should be, just like checking for counterfeit money. Why not accept the unaltered ones? Post a guide that shows your cashiers how to tell the difference between the two. -//- This sounds like the start of companies no longer providing online coupons because they 'can be easily altered'. Oh well, if the stuff isn't on the shelf to begin with, I can't buy it... |

Comic packs are still $12.99 at KB (just got a box in this week), and the regular figures are still $7.99 (when they ship any). A lot of it just comes from greed from some of these companies. Coporations sees something selling and they think they can get more out of it. But yeah I think that's just Target being stupid. They hardly ever have anything to begin with. They seem to only want to have stock around Christmas. |
