I never had this guy as a kid, but in the last few years I've started liking him, if for the only reason being that I love the NES GI Joe game and he is on it.

The figure is weird to me. He's a former quarterback, but without his helmet and grenades I do not get a football vibe from him.

Anyway, do you use him in your Joeverse? If so, how do you use him?

Mine had broken thumb and crotch. He's been reduced to spare parts that how I use him. His head though is often placed on a spare footloose figure. When he's there I used him as Captain Grid-Iron.

I used mine as some kind of hard core soldier as a kid.
I bought a second one on ebay a few years ago to put his gear on my childhood figure and I used the spare figure with Gorky' legs as some kind of stuntman/urban hero since his vest kind looks like a hoodie.

I have a custom I use he has commande of an A-team. On another note I bought about 10 funskool versions from smalljoes, repainted them as sailors or soldiers.

Mostly he's the middle linebacker and defensive co-captain for the Joe's recreational football team. In combat he's part of my heavy artillary unit along with Backblast, Salvo, Bazooka, and Zap because of his missle gun. He has less field experience than Zooka and Zap but he has a keen mind for battle planning on the ground and under immense pressure. But he isn't included in mission planning like say Duke, Flint, Steeler, or Keel Haul would be.

Never had him, and probably never will, as he is pretty low on the priority list.

I actually totally reimagine the character as one of the Joe MPs.

Same here, but he also works without his missile gun and grenades. Then, only with his pistol and helmet (he looks way cooler that way) he acts like other pistol guys like Red Dog, Mercer, etc.

I can also see him now as Fridge's assistent.

I never had him as a kid, he came along when I was phasing out of "kid stuff" ...

I have him now but don't even think about him, so therefore he is non-existant in my Joe-verse.

I think he's the harbinger of doom for the old school joes.

He certainly was the beginning of the end times for ARAH, :(
