25th Anniversary Firebat w/ AVAC confirmed!

Someone over at JBL who apparently works for a printing company has gotten his hands on an early copy of Lee's Action Figure News (issue #188, coming in June). Featured in the magazine is a new Firebat w/ AVAC!

No pics as of yet, but the AVAC is described as using the Flash/Grand Slam/HISS Driver torso tooling with Zartan's legs a new head. MSRP is mentioned in the article to be $14.99.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm pretty fired up about this. Love the Firebat, and love AVAC, and getting them both for fifteen bucks on shelves will be pretty neat.

oh NICE! I can definitely say THIS will be a treat to see on the shelves. Hopefully pictures will show sooner rather than later (or at least it's a good bet there will be a Firebat appearance at Joe Convention... right?)

and I think Zartan's boots CAN work for AVAC whereas they were completely inappropriate for Bludd.

Yes I can see those parts working great! They should definately use Zartan's upper shoulders & Flash's lower arms.

A 1 seater plane big woop guys.
Its not too difficult to make and i have no interest in it whatsoever unless it is by some miracle a troop transport of some sort.

The question is, what will they give us as the Firebat? The original that came with the 'drome? Something akin to the Corps' little one-seater jet? The stealth pogo from the ROCC? The dinky Tigerhawk?

Assuming the Firebat is using the original design or a slight modification of the original, this is huge! It is what I always want from rerelease vehicles, something we haven't seen in a very long time. On top of that, it is a great classic vehicle. I am going to be buying multiples of these.

Did anyone click the link that I pointed out in the first post? :shifty:

All the details are there... vintage design, though supposedly retooled to fit Anniversary figures. Dark maroon in color, looks very much like the original.

No Terror Drome now or likely ever, so folks should stop holding their breath...
