I haven't seen this up here, but the club started a thread with some card art for their release of the DTC wave 4 figs.

Okay, those look great, don't get me wrong....but isn't this going to end up being like the Iron Mech and MOTH boxes? Pretty, but price inflating?

I can't see the pictures due to lack of membership, but I'm taking a wild guess that it's not the same art that would've decorated the DTC packaging?

judging by Darko's comments, is this a painting as those boxes were adorned with?

Nope, they changed a few colors around from the pre-existing art and decos (such as Outback with a black shirt instead of white)

I saw that the other day.

It looks. . . pretty much like DTC. Only I'm guessing a lot more expensive.

YAY

Obsolete sculpts for a premium price?

Pass.

I'll just wait for the 25th versions.

The link tells me it's wrong and I'm tired of looking all over for it on that stupid site hahaha...I just hope that this artwork doesn't mean that they need to pay more people who worked on these, which means they need to charge more.

actually the artwork is the original card art from the original DTC release, Modified to fit the new color changes.

this may prove hopeful for people wanting these figures, as it may keep the prices down to under 20 bucks since its a carded figure rathar than Boxed.

Ooh... Pretty cards... I'd rather see figures.

So did anyone over there mention that these may be a huge flop or was it just the usual bowing & scraping, praising the all-mighty MC?

I actually saw a post questioning the wisdom of releasing DTC Wave 4, but it was ridiculed by the MC faithful and pretty well ignored.

Don't ask me to find it though. Looking through that board is like pulling teeth.

Again, I get the vibe that MC wants stuff to phail since they're not allowing non-members to even see this (much less members like me who've never once been able to log onto their boreds). I thought businesses were supposed to, like, sell stuff and get, like, money for the stuff. Or something.

I'm a member, but can't even just drop into to look at the forum. I logged in, but then I'm supposed to set up a full-on forum account, too? Nah, not worth the time.

Master Collector is poorly run and that website is a headache. It's a shame I like their product.
