Just a heads up, just came from my local Target and they have the exclusives for $6.98. This store hasn't had them for well over a month, but must have been in the back as some boxes were beat up and they had at least 3 of each one. |

Never seen them in a store... not once. Thankfully they're on hold for me.

I have never seen anything GI JOE or Star Wars on clearance at a Target. Those jokers sit on the pegs at full price until moss grows on their north side. |

Haha, yeah Hasbro doesn't have some messed up marketing going on. Sure this is Target doing this, but the question is why? Usually it's items that sit there and doesn't sell that get clearanced. These are items that most never even saw in store. Those of us that did find them only saw that one shipment alone. If this is a chain wide thing, there's a reason behind it and not because they sat around. |

I wonder if it was a Target distribution error: Since these were intended as checkout endcap items (based on where I saw them in-stores), if a store did not put them on the endcap, they didn't sell in that store. Since they sat in the back warehouse for that store for a month or two, not selling, they got clearanced for that store. Alternately, some Targets received a lot of exclusive toys, while others might have received only one or two cases. Those Targets with the overstock wound up with unsold product, which is now being clearanced. |

My Target never got the vehicles. I did recently see the "Allspark Powered-Up" Transformers in the cylinders, and the Order 66 figures for a couple days, but no Joes and no clearance. But I already have my fill, so it's OK. |

Honestly, I NEVER saw them on the store shelves at any of the 4 different Targets I went to. I always had to have them pulled from the back. One Target employee told me that the vehicles didn't even have an assigned shelf space. He said that didn't make any sense but it was true. I can't understand getting an exclusive item but not putting it out on the shelf and then clearancing it for nearly what Target paid for them. |

I've never seen 'em. Wouldn't mind a couple of Night Sharcs at retail clearance! |

I have two Targets near me. One has never gotten them. The other one got one shipment that I was lucky enough to see, briefly. I bought the Sharc for Grand Slam and gave the vehicle to my son. I planned to go back later and buy him the AWE Striker for his birthday later this summer, but they sold out, and neither have received any more. |

Something else to add to this. Remember I had made a post about talking to a Hasbro rep that actually hand delivered this stuff. She was the one that was stocking the end cap at the front of the store and was looking at the other Hasbro items in the toy section. I told her I was looking for these and she was going to talk with the manager to bump up their reorder. So unless she was telling me a lie, there was a standing order for more. More that never showed up. That end cap only was set up for about 3 weeks. After 2 weeks they moved the Transformers to the Transformer section. They had the full end cap filled with the Order 66 figures for the next week. I was back again (looking for G.I.Joe) and there was no end cap. Also there were no Order 66 sets. The Transformer figures were still full price and I didn't see any trace of the Order 66 figures being marked down. I can't see that they'd have sold that many that fast. They'd have had to drop the price pretty low and that's usually not done in the first mark down. So I really don't know what's up. I'd pick up more HISS tanks if they were readily available. At least 2 more. I might get more if I saw them clearanced. It just sucks that we can't have that option. |

Here's a question -- those of you whose Targets never saw them, how many checkout lanes do you have? I'm trying to recall, but the Woodlands Target may have had them for a week or two on the endcap, but they only have maybe nine checkout endcaps? The Spring Super-Target at I45 and Louetta has super-wally-world-style checkouts -- 40 or 50 of them. That's where I saw the vehicles for an extended period of time. So, it might be that Targets get say, merchandise for 20 endcaps. If that Target has fewer endcaps, then they need to pick and choose which items see the light of day. |

So, it might be that Targets get say, merchandise for 20 endcaps. If that Target has fewer endcaps, then they need to pick and choose which items see the light of day. Here's something to blow that theory out of the water. There's both types of Targets in my area. A Super Target with however many (the full front of the store is checkout lanes) and a regular Target with like 20 lanes. Both Target stores got them in stock and only a single stock for each. The Super Target actually only had 1 of the SHARCs and 1 AWE Striker with no HISS packs. I grabbed those. Now remeber the Hasbro rep was there and had just put these out so she confirmed that was all there was. She didn't understand why there wasn't more. The regular Target had 2 of each and had them on the endcap at the registers just like all the other Targets are suppose to. This was the following week and the rep even told me that she wouldn't be able to visit their store until the following week. I didn't see her, so who knows when exactly they were stocked. I was visiting both Target stores regularly, as in at least once a week. Neither have received a restock since then. So the Super Target got a half assed stock and the regular Target got a fairly decent stock, but none of it was enough to really matter. Also these have not shown up on their website at all. I was just at both Targets too during the week and didn't see any. Both Targets do have the new Rancor. Another thing to note, at Christmas, those Target exclusive Star Wars sets were only at the Super Target and not the regular Target. |
