While the topic might imply that I do not like the 25th i just for some reason not into it as much as the other waves in the past. The biggest thing with me is it is the same thing from 25 years ago. I know some us wanted updates of old favs in past waves. Why do we have to use state of the art technology to make toys from 25 years ago. The point I'm trying to make is why does my Duke look like he step through a time portal. Why are we so oppose to change, I want my Grunt to come with a m-8 and look like the guy from GRAW, with hasbros own take on it. Make Lady Jay a pilot so they could create a more realistic character. The 80's are gone republicans. |

Dude, edit your statment to remove the political twist at the end or the mods will lock this thread. And to answer your question - this is the 25th anniversary nostalgia line - we just had 20+ new "modern" versions of Duke released from 2000 - 2006. AND in 18-months we'll have a whole new series of modern looking movie related figures released (using the new design). Why doesn't your Coke taste like Dr. Pepper? Cause it's Coke, the one in the purple can is Dr. Pepper. The 25th look like they did 25 years ago, Sgt Savage looked like WW II figures, and the new movie figs will look like futuristic soldiers. It's all good. -CJack |

The entire point of the 25th Anniversary (now 26th) line IS to recreate a lot of old characters with iconic looks and colors with a few twists that pay tribute to the Sunbow cartoon and Marvel comic book with new versions of iconic characters. And it's outselling the brand new designs that were the RAH repaints and new sculpts from 2000-2006 in a BIG way. So your beef is really kind of a self-defeating argument. |

If a mod wants to edit or lock the post it does not matter to me. My thing is i see wasted potential. Don't get me wrong i have one of everything i can find. And it's outselling the brand new designs that were the RAH repaints and new sculpts from 2000-2006 in a BIG way. Thats good what ever it takes to keep the line alive i'm for it. |
