If by "just" you mean "three months ago", then you're right...

though I'm not sure where the Sideshow hate comes from.

A) 'Just'? This was announced like 2 months ago at Toy Fair, and the video itself says to 'check back Feb 17-20', bro.

and

B) 'Worst'? Sideshow Toys? You realize you're insane, right?

They're stuff is maybe 40 dollar quality. But not for 80 bucks. And sorry if I was a little late.

I'll give you that they're pretty damn expensive, but their stuff is usually very high quality.

I agree their pricing has gotten insane and that is the main and only reason why I've stopped collecting their stuff to the extent I'd like to. With all the stuff they've recently announced I've only pre-ordered 1/6th scales ANH Han Solo and their Indiana Jones, although I would of liked to of gotten much more.

They really need to re-evaluate their prices since I agree with you they are more reasonably in the $50 price range. However I don't think they are the worst company out there, there stuff looks good and is usually a pretty high quality.

Actually I believe this is thread #4 about it. There were three different ones like was said about 3 months ago. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6436&hilit=sideshow thats one.
CT next time do a search for companies before posting a NEW thing. ;)

I've purchased almost all the Star Wars figures from Sideshow, my only complaint is that the hands come off rather easily.
I'll most likely be buying the Joes too. Can't wait to get a peek.

Their body style is a bit weak, what with joints that come loose and tend loosen more over time. The Dragon figures I used to get were the same way. And as others have said, they're HotToys prices for figures with less gear, etc.

However, I also have to say, like Dragon, they offer excellent sculpts, and soft goods. My Sideshow Universal Monster's Frankenstein is a thing of beauty and never regretted getting him, even if he was slightly out of my price range. I am utterly thrilled about the prospect of a Sideshow Destro, Baroness, Firefly, Cobra anything.

Yep. I feel the same way. I would totally have to get another job if SS were to do the Joe/Cobra characters in their Premium Format statue line.

While Sideshow is well outside of my price range, the few times I've seen their figures "in person" -- mostly local toy shows -- I have been suitably impressed.

I got most of their first waves of Star Wars figures and I love them. Only reason I don't have them all, is cuz I also collect 25th Joe's & 3 3/34 SW figures. But I do get the ones that like, such as the upcoming Indiana Jones figure and I know Sideshows Joe's will look just as good, so I will get some of those as well.

Besides the powdery look of their figures, I don't have any complaint with Sideshow.

MOD SPEAK: Since this is already being discussed in this thread, I'm going to lock this one down.
