UGH! I have little interest in this movie and even less in the figures. Hate to think of them taking up space on the shelves that would be better used by something else. |

well I ONLY purchase 4" figures. but even if they make 4" versions that are semi decent articulation and sculpting, I just don't know what use I could make of these outfits. |

I hadn't seen the gals geared up until this week, and I gotta say I'm actually excited about the new movie. I don't collect 6", but I'd snag these in a second for 4" fodder. That's a wider range of female body types I think I've ever seen in a single wave of figures. |

Maybe it's because I never really considered Ghostbusters a sacred cow (liked the first one...meh on the second...cartoon was okay), but I will never understand the level of frothing vitriol this movie is inspiring. Just reading the comment section on that article, you'd swear Paul Feig came to these people's houses and recast members of their family with Leslie Jones and Melissa McCarthy. Seriously, from what little has been shown, this reboot seems way more faithful than Transformers, GIJoe, TMNT, Jem or any of the others, but my my goodness is the pre-hate for this leaving the nerd-rage those got in the dust. Anyway, the figures look like pretty good likenesses. I collect very few 6" figures, but if they did a 4" version, I'd be interested. If nothing else, like Dan said, it would be good to have some physical diversity available for customs (finding a good base figure for, say, Amanda Waller is a pain in the ass). |

Imdb lists a lot of the original cast, might just be cameos, but I'm getting the feeling it's a soft reboot, not a total restart. We'd have all loved to see another GB with the classic cast, but Ramis is gone. It's literally impossible at this point. If it's going to continue, I'd rather see all new GB teams than trying to replace each actor as they inevitably die off. It's 2016. Stop grumping about girl Ghostbusters and black storm troopers |

My only problem with another movie and why I will not be seeing it in theaters is that it didn't need to be redone, plus I'm sick of remakes. And this one was originally just about perfect. The right mix of comedy and crazy and seriousness. I think this new movie will be over the top ridiculous and can only hurt things with people who are huge fans of the original movie like me. But I'll always have the old movies and can just delete this from memory if I don't like it once it's out on Netflix. |

The issue I have with these ladies being another franchise in 'GhostBusters, Inc.' is that they're really obvious as simple gender-swaps of the original team. How likely would that be in real life? Why couldn't there be two black chicks, or a Hispanic, or Asian in the mix? It all just screams, 'PANDERIIIIIIIIIING', imho. Also, Mattel flat-out sucks at making hips. What's the point of sculpting the front of the pelvis down so far to prevent a sitting pose, or the god-awful ugliness of that damnable crotch notch on the inside of the thigh? I'm fully in the 'all articulation is fundamentally ugly' camp, and while articulation is the fundamental purpose of an action figure and I accept its ugliness so long as the figure can still move; Mattel puts overly-ugly stuff in while also decreasing the range of motion elsewhere. |

I mean, I could see if they were pulling some Star Wars Special Edition bs where they rotocast the new cast over the old cast and then never again release the originals. But just, like, watch the old ones. Also: It's a movie about shooting ghosts, not a religious text. You'll be okay. |

Everything is pandering to someone. Hell, the entire concept of making all of these movies is pandering to nostalgia. Personally, I don't necessarily see the point of this remake (with any cast...again, Ghostbusters isn't something I'm that attached to), but I didn't see the point of remaking Spiderman again either, but that didn't send me into a seething hate spiral (not saying that anyone here is, but in the comments on that article above and again on a different toy site, people are getting a real special kind of ugly). |

unnecessary, and I also don't care for the 'who' of the casting much more so than the what or the which. I'd view the figures as fodder only if in the right scale. But yeah, I'm not mad they are making it, if other people see value in it. It just won't be my money they collect. |

Sony obviously wanted to keep getting money off the Spidey license, but aren't savvy enough of a movie company to know they didn't need to reboot just because they recast. I don't see how that's pandering. Making a new installment of a movie where the *sole* change made is the gender-swapping of the entire cast is screamingly obvious as pandering. |

You understand we're a demographic, right? The whole comic book/geek culture entertainment boom is predicated on "let's make money off of nerds." I don't see how that's any more or less honorable than, "let's make money off of nerds who are also women." And Amazing Spiderman had even less changes than a gender swap. The only real difference was "now featuring actors who are popular and young *now* instead of a few years ago!" Seriously, how many times do we need to see Uncle Ben die? They were trying to hook onto the superhero boom while also courting the teenie-bopper crowd. Also, I think it's a bit early to declare "the sole change" when I don't think there has been a trailer or plot summary yet...in fact, at this point, no one is really sure if it is a reboot or a new installment (all of which is what I find most worrisome...doesn't seem like the studio has much faith in it). Either way, I agree, it is unnecessary, but I doubt there would be nearly the uproar if they had done the same movie but cast Will Ferrell, Bill Hader, Patton Oswalt and Tracy Morgan. At the very least, people wouldn't be using a bunch of homophobic slurs to talk about why they don't want to see it. |

as long as they play the original song in the movie:) I need the large girl body in our scale for "barf" from spaceballs, besides that they would only be a bargain bin purchase at best. " the god-awful ugliness of that damnable crotch notch on the inside of the thigh? " oh I spit my drank lol'n |

Mattel seems to have found a way to combine the ugly aspects of the Star Wars and Joe crotches with none of the benefits of either. |
