Don't know if this is old news, but I was very surprised to see this at Toys "R" Us today, after I got past the Force Friday aisle.

$59.99.

This is just the TRU exclusive Desert Duel set. It wasn't exclusive to SDCC, just released there first. And I saw it at TRU yesterday too. Considering the regular version is selling for $49.99 this one is a good deal. Two additional figures for $10 more.

Ah, okay, I was under the assumption that this set was exclusive to the San Diego ComicCon.

Interestingly enough, the shelf tag even read "ComicCon set".

One has to wonder, though, given that the entire line is exclusive to TRU, anyway.

But if this is just because this is a TRU Exclusive, and not necessarily a ComicCon exclusive -- does that also explain all those Yvonne Craig BATGIRL figures I also saw at TRU yesterday? 8-O

I think the confusion is that they didn't sell out online & are actually showing up at the stores unlike the tan VAMP mkII.

Yeah these are all TRU exclusives that were debuted at SDCC. They've been teaming up with Entertainment Earth to sell their "SDCC" exclusives for a few years now. I think one of the first was the MOTUC Battle Armor Faker set.

The tan VAMP set would have been in stores had it not sold out online. These new sets aren't moving as quickly online so they are making their way to shelves as planned.

This is the SDCC set. There are two different Desert Duel sets. One has the window box where you can see the 2 figures included. This one does not have the window box and includes 2 bonus figures (4 total).
