Anybody look at some of the Joe vehicles and get the feeling the designer was either ramping up to making the pitch for the BattleForce 2000 set, or wishing it had continued beyond the six vehicles; due to the detachable mini vehicle concept? For example, the HAVOC, Mamba, Sea Ray, and Avalanche with their recon fliers; the Maggot, Mean Dog, and Thunderclap with their 2vehicles+1gun and the Raider with just the 1vehicle+1missile station; the Bugg's bathysphere; the Condor's 2-in-1 planes, the Hammerhead's whopping 5 detachable minivehicles, and even the Demon and Despoiler's 'secret' connectability or the Dominator's 1-into-2 tankcopter? |

The RHINO with its similarity to the APC from Aliens felt very BF2000 to me. |

I'm inclined to let the Iron Grenadiers vehicles slide, because they were almost marketed as a direct foe to Battle Force 2000 -- same color background on the packages, and a few even had the logo. So it would make sense that they would have similar capabilities, as well as being more advanced thanks to the involvement of Destro. I can see the HAVOC as a precursor to Battle Force 2000, though. One might suspect they tried a futuristic design to see if kids would go for it. As for the other vehicles, I suspect this was not so much a case of wanting to continue Battle Force 2000, as a mentality as Hasbro of, "Hey, these gimmicks worked for this team, where else can we use them?" |

Ha! What with it being white as well, that's a good indication it was meant for BF2K. |

Nice pull chad. I never noticed that before. There are so many weird out there unused designs from 86-90 that almost any of them could have been rebranded for BF2K. |

Yeah, the Condor, especially with that weird split-in-half function, could've been a BF2000. |

If I had a second one, I'd totally swap out the stickers and add some green to synergize it with the Vector. |

The thunderclap could have been a BF2000 vehicle. Even its driver looks like a BF2000 candidate. |
