With the glut of Skystriker re-issues, I've got quite a few of these big jets that I can't keep displayed all the time. Having never owned the mold before the modern version, I'm still very pleased with it and haven't gotten sick of it being reused, but I do need a storage solution. I keep most of my vehicles in clear sterilite boxes so I can see what's in them when they're on the shelf. I snagged one today that looked just right for the skystriker, but is just a smidge too short and narrow. Anyone have a storage solution for the Skystriker? I'd prefer being being able to stack two per container, one upside down to conserve space and so I don't have to buy one box per ship. Just curious if anyone has found anything out there that works! |

If I had the wall space, hanging them would be great. Did you just use a nail, or something fancier to hang them from? Man, I love your nuclear skystriker. One of my first favorites of your work! |

Originally in my previous house I had them hung from drywall in which I used those gold colored picture hangers that you just hammer in at an angle, they look like a nail going through a coin on a diagonal. As for the actual string, I use picture hanging wire, its braided, and the little metal cylinders you smash to secure it into a loop at the end. You need a special tool. I think its just pretty standard picture hanging stuff. As for that picture above, rather than drill holes in the cement wall, I just ran the wire up to either the joist above or the base plate board of the wall resting on the foundation. On the Skystriker Apocalypse I ran the wire down around the handle/bomb for extra support as it's heavy and I was worried the front landing gear may fail with that much weight. |

I have a couple of these storage containers from Target that work great for Skystrikers. I just have one in it now but I could fit two in it diagonally. |

On the wall hanging, I did the same thing with a couple of mine. I just put a nail in the wall, ran a loop of fishing line around the front landing gear, raised the gear, and hung it. For storage in boxes, the new versions are nice because everything comes off except for the cockpit area. Doing that will really save you some space, particularly the wings. |

You may have to slice a few stickers, but the cockpit will come off if you loosen the screws. |

That stand is really nice but spendy. Nearly $40 after shipping. And in reality, I think I could make my own out of other materials for much cheaper. While it wouldn't look as classy, it would do the job.In fact, you may have just solved my problem on where I was going to display the Scythe and Black Skystriker. |

I have difficulty storing planes also which has led to the break of the wheels on my rattlers. I have a solution if I ever get around to building it. I want to build a helicarrier the scale of the Flagg and have it open under the deck for plane storage. I actually want to make it like a table since it will be so large and put shelves under it. But thats the idea if i ever get around to building it. |

When I had mine out, they were stacked on the Flagg. Now they are in a xmas tree plastic bin along with the other longer jets. |

I don't think the vintage Skystriker comes apart the same as the 30th version does it? If the wings didn't come off the new 'striker I don't know what I'd do to store it. |
