Post subject:  Question about carded figures

One aspect of our hobby is opening toy packaging.

I'm in the process of opening all the figures that were purchased for me while my Mother was on her driving vacation.

We have seen pics of carded figures and pics of boxed vehicles.

We have seen some behind the scenes pics and videos of how things are made, how paint apps are added, etc.

Has there ever been any documentation of how the figures are placed inside the plastic insert?

I just opened 13 Retaliation Lady Jaye figures and was curious how all the parts were put in and how the tape holding the parts looked uniform in the placement from figure to figure.

I don't know, but that is a good question.

This sounds like a job for JoeDeclassified. I know they've shown off the packaging mockups and stuff before. I'm sure they have a better insight in to the process.

I will say that everything is less automated then you think it is. The tape looks uniform because, most likely, a Chineses factory worker did 2500 pieces of tape that day. After 30, you kind of go into autopilot. I know there have been reports about a hair being taped inside the packaging. Not common but it has happened.
