So I gave the app a shot being GI Joe related and all.

No depth, no story, heck not even much in the way of an intro or instructions. But, not a bad way to kill 10 minutes either. Lots of wanting you to get the in-app purchases but none of it necessary to enjoy the game as a time waster because it does get repetive just swiping to take out an enemy. Granted, I only finished the first three sections of the jungle level so far so this is an incomplete review. I'll update once I've progressed further.

So when it first hit, I couldn't play because it said it wasn't compatible with my devices. I didn't realize it wasn't fully released and they were still just testing it. Now that it is released I got it and.... I'm not impressed. I mean with all of the different routes they could have gone, this is what we ended up with. Snake Eyes fighting red ninjas hand-to-hand for the most part. Guns are a bonus item, no sign of vehicles except in the background, seemingly no other characters. I mean I have only about 30mins time in it, but after that I have only seen Snake Eyes and 3-4 forms of red ninjas. THAT'S IT! It seems GIJoe is simply cursed with the inability to have a decent, modern video game created for it. The last good game they made was the 1991 arcade game. Sad.

This is not a good replacement for the card game.

This seems like a game that was created for something else and re-skinned to GI Joe. Hasbro has got to step up the game on their mobile presence - it's the new battleground for brand building.

It's a fun time waster with room to expand. Good to kill 5-10 minutes at a time. Good progression in difficulty, though I hope there are some cards to make things easier as I'm getting stuck already as the baddies come in faster.

Bummed I missed out on the last game. Sounded like it was a good time.
