Okay, so this year, I switched to the 12" Club Exclusive figure, since (a) a Dr. Mindbender in a purple overcoat didn't have a lot of appeal to be, and (b) I've always been a sucker for glow-in-the-dark toys. Just ask my Night Fighting Robocop, my Spectre, my Scare Glow, and my cadre of Club Exclusive Cobra Heavy Water figures... A friend of mine reported that he got his Dr. Mindbender today, so I thought, "Great! Maybe I'll get my Dr. Isotope soon!" Well, "soon" turned out to be in the mailbox later this afternoon. Works for me. It's a great figure. I'm glad the Club dropped the initial plans for a mustache. The 12" line has needed some interesting bad guys -- I'm sorry, but those ridiculous midget alien cavemen just do not count -- and this Dr. Isotope is a very cool figure. I was initially concerned about how well he might actually glow, since when I took him out of the box and held him under a light for a brief time, I didn't get much effect. But then I took him outdoors briefly, and even absorbing some indirect sunlight on my shaded apartment porch, he lit up like a green humanoid road flare. Yeah, I'm happy to have this guy. They're still not making next year easy. Pythona and Mike Power? Yeah, I know -- get one with the Club and buy the other. Still -- it's a tough call. |

This is the first year I was torn on the membership figure. I stuck with 4" because that's what works for my collection, but I'll be snagging a Dr. Isotope and his outfit when they hit the Club store. |

Dr Isotope is on the 4" custom drawing board for sure. Great character and interesting design. Just not a 12" collector. |

Hmmm -- a 4" custom Dr. Isotope. That could be cool. I look forward to seeing the results of that idea on this board! |

Mine's pretty cool, and works pretty well inside, but I'll try it outside soon. I can't wait to get the accessories, so he can be done with his atomic powered onesy. |

Charge him up with a Black Light. He glows really well after that, I don't know about compared to sunlight, but I can tell you that in lieu of sunlight, a Black Light will work great. |

I would like to do a 4 inch custom of him and for some reason I keep coming back to using sinestros head on him. Gonna be on the lookout next time I get to go to the flea market for one. |
