Looking over my ARAH collection today, it occurred to me -- Now that Hasbro has made a modern-style HEAT-Viper, it wouldn't take much to make a Fast-Blast Viper. The head that was used for the original Fast-Blast Viper was common-looking enough that there's probably several readily available choices that would work in the modern line. Beyond that, it's just changing the plastic colors.

Hello, Club? Got an easy idea for you for FSS 4.0... ;-)

They could do a python patrol one as well. That'd be a neat looking figure.

Good point. There was that Python Patrol HEAT Viper. For that matter, if they do the Fast Blast Viper, there were two versions of him.

The question is, why would you want a Fast Blast Viper?

Then we could get a BJs red Fast Blast Viper too.

If they are going to do that, I'd prefer they keep the HEAT Viper head on the figure for any repaints. I wound up buying casts of the head to use on all my fast Blast Vipers and it looks much better IMHO.

Why not? It's not a bad figure.

It's just kind of redundant.

I would like to have that figure, though that's probably just me wanting RAHC to get more love in the modern style. However, I think that figure would work much better in a convention box set since people that want a Fast Blast Viper can get multiples. I know some guy on HT made some customs of a potential Tiger Force convention set where he primarily stuck with molds also used for the 50th line, with the Fast Blast Vipers being one of the army builders (though I think they were convention exclusives and not in the box set itself).

I have zero interest in a Fast Blast Viper in ME format. They were just HEAT Vipers really, and if they'd just gone ahead and called them that, okay.

I would however love a source for Airtight bodies in black, so sure, bring on the FBV.

I don't have a problem with repaints - to each their own, but personally don't even care for the H.E.A.T. Viper so neither interest me much. In searching "fast-blast viper" I am surprised absolutely no porn came up and also was suprised by this cool custom

http://www.joecustoms.com/customs/image ... +Viper.jpg

Which looks good, but like I said I don't have much interest in the base idea so really it's just cool sculpt and colors to me.

The only "new" thing a Fast Blast Viper would add would be a black deco, which isn't terribly exciting.

The other thing the FBV introduced back then, the cannon hose that couldn't hook up to anything, is already replicated in the current 50th Anniversary HEAT-Viper.

I think it wouldn't be bad. I liked the idea and use them as a different division than HEAT vipers. There's really no reason they can't add to the design and make the figure it's own.
