I did the I Am Elemental Kickstarter and got the figures the other day. Overall, pretty good.
http://www.iamelemental.comLet me preface this with price. The lowest level to get a figure was $10. In the end they met so many goals and exceeded so many thresholds that they added another figure for everyone at that level or above. So when I talk about them, I'm talking about them in a $5-10 price range. If they were in the $15-25 range I wouldn't feel the same way about them.
They come blind bagged. I didn't have time to compare the bags for a code before the kid ripped into them. As she told me when I was about to take the pics, "These are Mine you know...so I should be the one taking the pictures." So proud.
Paint, for not a lot of paint they do a good job. The colors are vibrant and where they should be. Eyes were good. You can kind of see through the layer on the boots on the Energy figure but not in a super noticable way like it is with that "ring"? on her hand. The one place that is super noticable is the lack of any paint, base color or otherwise in the knee joint. Fine if they are standing straight up. Not so good if posed.
Build, solid, equal to Joe as far as the plastic felt. Didn't feel cheap or like they were about to fall apart. Ball joint head and hips. Swivel and hinge shoulders, elbows, and knees. No torso, waist, wrist, or ankle articulation. Torso and wasit isn't a big deal. And due to how tiny the wrists are I can see why they skipped it, but even a ankle swivel would have helped here. The sculpting is ok, but the heads are really where the sculpt shines. I will be putting these heads on different bodies as soon as I can. Oh and no foot peg holes.

Accessories, they each come with a shield with their power element on it as well as a wearable representation of that element. So Honesty comes with wings that clip onto her back and Energy has a flame effect collar. Both come off the figures. They also come with a two bio cards and a cloth bag for storage. Not bad for $5-10 but any higher and I'd want some kind of other weapon, energy effect, armor, lasso whatever. And a figure stand if they had peg holes.
Overall, not bad and certainly worth the price. When they become available again I'll pick up a few more for fodder. These were a big hit with the kid too. They'll get along great with her My Little Ponies.
