This was brought to the attention of the GI Joe Discussion facebook group. Apparently Burger Kings in Norway, Spain, Turkey and more than likely other foreign countries have begun offering GI Joe premiums with their kids' meals, based on the Polar Battle Bear, the SHARC and the AWE Striker.

They're just vehicles with plain "drivers" poking out the top, with an action gimmick that launches the front of the vehicle forward, but I think they're really neat. And it's the first time we get a Cobra redeco of the Battle Bear.

Also, "snowmobile" looks a lot more like a HISS tank.

The artwork and vehicles makes me think that this promo already happened... 20 years ago!

Maybe this will be like in the late 70's when GI Joe lived on in Europe while he was gone here.
The Action Man line continued in England until 1984 and Action Joe in France continued in the 80's as well.

The rear half of the "Jet" looks SHARC-ish enough. The rest of it -- take some toys that were lying around and slap a Joe logo on 'em.

GAH! Why didn't I see this thread before? The commercial is in German. I was just there in Germany. I didn't see the commercial on TV while there. Besides I don't usually go to any of the U.S. brand fast food restaurants while there either.

FYI, these have now hit in the us, and they are terrible, even for fast food premiums. Also, nowhere on the stickers/wrapper do they say gi joe, only on the box.

I was at BK the other day and saw they had GIJOE kids toys. No display, just a little decal on the menu board.
