4" Captain Action will be sculpted by Boss Fight Studios

The upcoming line of Captain Action 4" figures by Zica toys will feature a sculpt by Boss Fight Studios.
This means that Cap just went from classic RAH style to modern figure style and will fit right in with your latest figures.

Regardless of the construction design of the figures, this news just made me a bit more enthusiastic about these figures -- and I was already pretty enthusiastic about them.

I've been mightily impressed by Boss Fight's work on G.I. Joe, and I can't imagine that it won't carry over well to Cap. This should be extremely cool.

And ZICA? No complaints there, either. The main ZICA product that I own is a Mego-like Buck Rogers figure they did a few years back, and they did a really outstanding job with it.

Why not just use the HACKS buck? It's *exactly* what the entire Captain Action concept is supposed to be, a blank buck you can make into anyone with 'clothing' swap-outs.

The HACKS buck is BF's proprietary design. I don't expect it to show up in work for hire situations.

I do like this figure. It's basically a GIJoe. Like Matt Trakker, a different property done up as a GIJoe. I wonder if they plan to do Dr. Evil or any other CA characters.

Boss Fight Studio initial sculpt of Captain Action from ZICA Toys' Facebook page. So awesome. They also mention in the comments that their Kickstarter should be going live by mid October.

That figure looks awesome.
Seems like KS is becoming the new way to preorder collectable figures.
Must be a practical way to gauge interest.

I'm still bitter that the Dr. Evil concept art gave him boots instead of Beatnik sandals, but if the rest look this good I'm definitely in.
