Moved to a more appropriate forum for better visibility. Here is what I would be interested in, as far as a GI Joe game. Third person perspective A lot of different characters to be able to choose from Some customization options for custom characters Big open battlefields, somewhat like the Star Wars Battlefront games. The ability to form teams with my friends. Smaller co-op missions with set objectives, either against other players, or computer characters. Co-op could pull from more realistic comic type missions, or silly Sunbow type stories, and I'd be cool either way. |

G.I. Joe Infinity. Figures that can be removed from the base for real world play. Gameplay like Battlefront. Make bonus "discs" that can add extra gear and weapons. The pack also, includes gear for your figure. Vehicle discs can be in series 2. |

I'd still think a Command & Conquer Generals type of play would work well... Joes/Cobra/Red October/Iron Grenadiers as factions |

My wife and her sister are Disney nuts and complete geeks, so they love the Disney Infinity concept and can't wait until the girls (we had one 5 weeks ago, my niece is due next week) so they can play this game or something like it with them. They showed this stuff to me at the mall yesterday. It made me realize just how far behind Hasbro is lagging in the toy department. They are completely reactionary, just tossing their brands in whatever direction the wind has often already blown and then half-ass the toss to boot. Hasbro has been asleep at the wheel when it comes to interactive play. First Skylander and now Disney Infinity... this is something kids can get into nowadays. So... here is what I would do... a Hasbro Infinity type of game. You buy an action figure, vehicle or playset that unlocks video game content. Obviously, there can be very lore friendly story driven games where you plug in your toy's disk and raid the Red Ninja training ground with Snake Eyes, drive a HISS tank through an urban warzone to rescue Destro and the Baroness, or even duel a Sith lord with Obi-Wan and use Jetfire to dogfight with the Decepticon jets. But here's where it would get really amazing... the toy box sandbox mode. Completely customizable, you can set up the Terror Drome and man it with Stormtroopers, have Han Solo flirt with Lady Jaye and go on adventures with Shipwreck behind the wheel of Jazz or Hot Rod. |

To be fair--Skylanders just kind of hit and blew up...and Infinity has Disney backing it whole hog. I think Mattel(?) attempted to get into this gameplay mode a bit with those IPAD Appptivity games that included a mini-figure and those seem to have bombed. |

Only thing on Mattel's attempt is the games were poorly done and the figures/sets were over priced. Got a Monster High one for my daughter and the rubbery figurine was cheap. She beat the game in about 20 minutes. No updates, ect. No real diffrence in game play with the other characters. So do not link those with a Skylanders/Disney Infinity type game. Oh and check out the new Infinity 2.0 with Marvel characters. That is going to be big! |
