THAT is what the SDCC TF/Joe crossovers should be.

I'll be interested to see how much that ends up going for on eBay

I still think that if an individual can do that then Hasbro should be able to produce it. $35 for the HISS and $70 for the
Night Raven. Those prices should be obtainable that is double what they currently sell the base vehicle for. And at $100 for the set it would sell well.

Um did you think how much he SPENT on that stuff to customize it that way...or time involved to cut all that up... probably wasn't near a $100 easy......... plus if it was that EASY then people wouldn't be spending over $800 on it ... You'd be looking at over $200 EASY cause they wouldn't sell them separate..plus if they were sold NON-Transformable they'd sell at $100...but making them TRANSFORM goes over $200 ... plus O-rings aren't made anymore so you'd have to pay at least $10 each for the characters.......so saying $100 isn't NEAR what it would cost.....Could always go to the Con and ask the :hasbro: reps themselves and see what they'd say though.. :-/

A set like this at retail would cost a couple hundred dollars easily. A set like this as an SDCC exclusive? Waaaaaay more. Roguetiger is right. If anyone thinks they can get a set like this cheap, they're dreaming.

The cost of an individual making it and it being mas produced are two very different things. Although now that he has the experience of designing his first one, I am sure that he can whip one of these up for around $100 (which would include his labor at say $10 an hour) and considering the price he is getting for it I would imagine he is currently shopping for a boneyard Raven as we speak to build his next one. Making the first one as a hack&paste would be truly the hard part (the figuring out how to make it work) after you have done it once it should be pretty easy.

I doubled the price they would charge for each individual vehicle w/figure for the vehicles right now that do not transform. They could make them transformable at double the price of a static vehicle. They charge what they can get. The price of making a figure has not nearly doubled in the last 3 years but the price of the figures have. This is because they believe they can get it for them.

Do you have a Night Raven? I do. It's a big plane. The RoC Night Raven is about 2/3 it's size and retailed for $40. I would expect the vintage one to sell a bit more. One that transforms? The upcoming Metroplex is about as tall as the Night Raven is long and it will cost around $125. I would imagine the Night Raven would be about the same. Maybe a little less.

True and that isn't even counting The Hiss tank park which would be $50 at least.......

I have a couple Night Ravens and the hull of a Sky Raven. It is comparable in size with the Sky Striker. The thing to remember about the detail is that the larger the scale the easier the detail. This one is awesome but transforms a little simpler then alot of true transformers. I would expect that the transforming of a GI Joe vehicle would be dumbed down a bit from a true transformer. Still a true transformation but not nearly as complicated.

They include directions with how to transform those transformers and on some of them it is complicated enough you almost need them. This guy looks pretty straight forward.

So even if you went $100 on the plane and $50 on the tank it would still sell but I am betting that they would get it closer to the $100 mark for the set, and the figures are just repaints with no weapons, we know that Hasbro loves dong repaints.

I was going to post something pertinent to the topic about how Hasbro would charge about $150 for this set, but this is my favorite typo ever, and made me lose my whole train of thought.

Winning bid was $1815.99. I'm sure that made up for materials, labor and then some.
