This looks like an interesting figure line. I'm not a parent, but on a couple of occasions I was pretty close to taking over the lease payments on someone else's kids, both times them being girls. I'm all for toys that are not a stereotype, and actually empower the kid and act as a positive influence. These seem to be just that, for girls. I'd think this would be a good way for some of the fathers in our collecting community to be able to bond with their daughters with something that could be a mutual interest. I'm looking to jump on this, who knows? Maybe I'll find a woman with low standards and she'll pop out a kid for me. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/iamelemental/iamelemental-action-figures-for-girls?ref=kickspy |

I started off hating how militant feminist it seemed, but then realized it wasn't as militant as I thought it was going to be. The figures look cool(bonus points for showing one fighting Godzilla) and the message is actually good. Not sure if I care about getting one, and the goal is already surpassed, but I might jump in anyway just to help them out. |

I'm the father of a daughter who loves superheroes, and I'm always looking for good female action figures for her. They're a little...intense...about it (....the part about the 'hyper sexualized' way other action figures sit...really?), but it's a good idea. |

The line seems pretty cool. It's nice to see an action figure line geared toward girls (although the coolest girls play with G.I. Joe) The write up is a bit much though. I get it! Men suck and boy's action figures are only about sex! Yeesh |

Someone show them a Golobulus figure, it'll give them enough ammo for a whole other line. |

It's times like these I really miss the like button. |

I don't feel they're saying "men suck" as much as they are saying: action figures are for boys, but here are some for girls(instead of the giant boobie ones that are usually put out. |

I'm all for that. I didn't get a 'men suck' vibe, I got a 'we're getting a bit intense about this' vibe. Mainly the part about how regular action figures sit being "hyper-sexualized." Honestly, the amount of time I spend thinking about sex is so large that I had to stop thinking about sex to type a sentence with the word sex in it three times, and even I never saw an action figure's sitting pose as "hyper-sexualized." The weird rant about "male oriented action figures" all getting their super powers from "without" while these figures' powers come from within made me roll my eyes (....also, since when is mutated DNA "from without"?) |

Yeah, that seemed a little intense for the write-up. Did I miss the info as to what scale/size these are? I don't wanna pledge $65 to get all seven to find out they don't fit into the rest of the stuff I have... "$56,228 pledged of $35,000 goal 27 days to go" Not bad. I wonder what retail stores will carry them and what the end message would be if these hit clearance... |

They are four inch tall figures. |

I do wish they'd show them next to some mass-release action figures, so we could get a better sense of how "4-inch scale" they are (like...Joe size or new SW figure size), but overall, they look pretty cool. I'm a little short on funds, but if they're still taking backers when payday rolls around, I'll pledge. |

The write up is a little much ("Using Joan of Arc as our Muse (because real heroes walk among us)"--huh?)and I think blaming the toy industry is wrong-headed--they didn't design the costumes for these properties. BUT I'm into the idea. Dudes love boobs and tend to exaggerate them any chance they get (the by product is that toys and comics sort of automatically become sexualized) so I understand them wanting to do more reasonable proportions for a young-girl themed line. |

the site says quote "We set out to design a series of figures with healthier breast, waist and hip ratios" .... so who decides what's healthy? |
