I managed to find the Star Wars 6" Black Series CLONE CAPTAIN today, and when I got him home, I noticed that his armor was a brighter shade of white than the CLONE SERGEANT I purchased several months ago.
At first I feared discoloration on the part of the Clone Sergeant, but I ruled this out for several reasons. First of all, I've kept the Sergeant out of direct sunlight. Secondly, in my experience, discoloration doesn't tend to be uniform. Thirdly, I've only had the Clone Sergeant less than half a year. That's a little soon for that to be happening, if it's even likely to.
I have to assume that, for whatever reason, the Clone Captain, although certainly using the same molds, was simply molded in a brighter white. One other thing -- the knee armor, which is one of the few segments on the Captain that's painted white rather than molded in white, is a very slight off-white -- like the paint they used on it was the color for the Sergeant.
Has anyone else who's collecting this line noticed this? Just curious.
