Wondering if anybody had customized a yellow Ret Jinx into a red or white Jinx yet (SDCC/FSS).

Obviously would only be able to capture the hooded version without a cast head.

I was considering doing a red version but was wondering if anybody had any advice on color red to use or other tips?

Haven't tried it, but my experience with paints and interacting colors tells me that this would not be easy. Red over yellow wouldn't be bad, but red over black would likely require a very thick coat of paint that could have an adverse effect on the look and articulation of the figure. Just my hunch on it.

Good call. Will have to look at priming it down first or removing the factory black, which as you pointed out is indeed problematic.

Of course I could go cheap and easy (two words that describe me) and go all black for a night force version......

Good luck removing some of the factory black. Again, I'm not sure, but I think some of the figure's parts were molded in black.

Night Force could look cool, but otherwise, if you've got a good primer that wouldn't be an especially thick coating in and of itself, that might be the way to go.

I made a red one. I used krypton dual paint and primer. It worked ok. Pics on the way

I'm planning to paint mine. Just can't decide between guards red and insignia red. Insignia red is very close to the shade of that weapons locker thing she comes with.

Might need to keep her away from any Superman figures. ;)

Personally, I'm thinking a black dye bath to make her an ME version of the classic Stealth Jinx custom.

The dye don't work anymore with the new formula and didn't think it worked with the ME figures either... could be wrong. :-/

It used to work with some ME figures better than others. But the new formula sucks.

I haven't had a lot of trouble painting red over black.

Here's a custom using Krylon Dual Primer and Paint. The rough spots from re-assembly were touched up with Folk Art. This is my second attempt in 20+ years of customizing using spray paint on a figure, but I think it's the best way go on this figure to get a even base coat to cover the yellow.

I was going to see if anyone was any good at using an airbrush to make her look like Vypra and how well would airbrush paints work on these plastics. I'll wait to see what the FSS 3 Vypra will look like first.
