hello I collect zartan figures and like to get the prototypes as they pop up on ebay but was wondering how many of any version are made is there any way to know ? |

Not really. And considering how these are "procured" and sold I don't think you'll get an answer if you ask Hasbro. |

It tends to vary per era, year, line, version, etc. There's no real way to tell how many Hasbro makes, how many China makes. So it tends to be measured more by common/uncommon. Vintage being the least common. I have never heard of any vintage Zartan resins or test shots being found. Just a test shot of his vehicle and then copies of the concept art/sketches. Someone might have like a Zartan test shot arm or torso but I'm not even sure about that. 2000 era, a few Zartan test shots show up on ebay. They are green with like a white hood or something. 25th Zartan has shown up a couple times unpainted from China via ebay. ROC Desert (POC) only one or two test shots have ever surfaced from China. Same with Resolute and Retaliation. Now granted I'm talking about unpainted. Obviously production-level test shots are plentiful for some of the modern ones. Although there are some pre-production versions of the Desert Zartan that aren't super well documented or recognized. One or two Blue Zartans have been found for Sigma 6 but I don't know if those count as prototypes as Sigma 6 isn't my area of expertise. |

I have these unpainted prototypes zartans 2005 v12 2004 v8 2004 v9 from the morph set 2003 v7 I have the clear zartan too but I don't believe hes a prototype . I saw a different colored v7 on ebay . |
