That looks like a Pegasus or something similar.

Does anyone know the signifigance [if any] that logo "patch" is? If it's an Army unit patch, I'm definitely unfamiliar with that one.

I always thought it looked like the old mobil oil logo

Besides looking like the old Mobil gas logos (which would be fitting for a grease monkey type like Crankcase) the Pegasus are Britt's 1st and 6th Airborne Units and that is their logo, which to me is a nod to his filecards stating that he was SAS trained through NATO. I'll see if I can find a pic and figure out how to put it in here or a link.

To display a link as a pic in your post, simply highlight the URL and hit the 'Img' box:
Attachment:

It'll put [img] at the beginning of the URL, and [ /img] afterwards.

Ahhh, very very cool!

Thank you for the info, I love subtle nods to real world stuff like that (Beachhead's 75 patch, 2000 Duke's tattoo, etc) in this toyline.

As long as it's been brought up, what DOES Beach-Head's "75" patch stand for?

75th Ranger Regiment -- it's the only real Ranger unit in the Army (separated into three Battalions.)

And now you know...

The arm patches on the ARAH figures are an awesome little detail that helped bring the figures to life. I'm glad that they have attempted to recreate some of them in the 25th line (like Beachhead, Doc, Shipwreck). I would like it even better if they did that with all the new figures. Crankcase didn't get his patch, and the CG one is just a chintzy silver diamond sculpted on the sleeve.

Crazy. I always thought that sweater and 'stache made Crankcase look British but I'd never read the filecard. Guess he picked up some style points during his SAS training as well. I bet he even likes HP sauce! Ymmm, HP sauce. I'm almost out by the way.

Okay, while you guys are on a roll......... Dusty's Palm? Lady Jaye's Christmas Tree?

Actually, that's not what Beach Head's patch is. It's the 75th Infantry Division:

Yes, I'm well aware Beach Head is SUPPOSED to be from the 75th Regiment:

BUt they have a different patch:

OK, my figures have some paint wear and I can't see much of the card art anymore but this is as much as I deciphered:

I had no idea that they were all that authentic!

I do know that the patch that appears on the arms for Red Star and Big Bear is legitimate to the Soviet Army, but Red Star has the correct color. It's mostly blue. But I don't think it would've shown up too well on Big Bear's uniform as such.
