No Joe at Toy Fair

Just got the official press invite for Hasbro's Toy Fair event and something seems to be missing.

The tour starting points are:
#1 – TRANSFORMERS
#2 – MARVEL
#3 – STAR WARS
#4 – MY LITTLE PONY
#5 – PLAYSKOOL HEROES

As far as coverage goes. The Spectre will be representing Imperial shipyards and will be live tweeting from the event.

sgcaper and bcost74 will be representing JoeCustoms to bring whatever Marvel and Star Wars news that might be of interest to us customizers.

Seriously, what's wrong with the people at Hasbro? I know it's a not a movie years, but come on!
Are they keeping the 50th under wraps until the SDCC or will they just let this anniversary pass them by?

"Spotlight on" but then not part of the product to be viewed. Don't expect anything other than a courtesy nod at the brand rather then any discussion of what's coming down the pipe other than GI Joe 3.

Meaning they will have maybe a poster or at best a power point spotlighting GI Joe, but if it's not on the tour, they aren't showing any product.

And it's way too soon for anything of any significance to be shown for Joe 3

Not even Kre-O? But I guess that makes sense as Kre-O is a TRU exclusive so why bother showing it off to other retailers if they can't buy. But you'd think they'd have something to show at the "fan" night or whatever.

Also, maybe they are saving the Joe stuff to reveal at JoeCon. If they are going with a single retailer as mentioned at SDCC and that deal is locked in (like the TRU/Kre-O exclusivity) then there is no point showing it off to other retailers. Just trying to find a glimmer of hope here.

I will do my best to find out as much about this issue at Toy Fair. Any information that the Hasbro representatives will be willing to reveal, I will let everyone know. Have asked PLUV to send me a list of questions for the brand line representatives and will be taking as many photos allowed. SGCaper and I will not let you down. We are proud to be representing JoeCustoms,com at such an exclusive industry event.

I'm gonna go glass half full......at least we know a 3rd movie is planned and that movie will have a toyline and maybe they will pick up where they left off with Retaiation wave 3.5 and 4 with regards to quality, as opposed to starting that movie with a wave of less than desirable figures.

At the very least, I am interested in seeing what will be offered in Transformers, and Marvel, and Star Wars -- at least the Black Series there.

But this is very disappointing.

It's impossible that I'm the only one not surprised or even disappointed by this development, right?

I mean, what were folks expecting them to show? More stuff they thought about giving us when the line was viable and that we now might one day see in some form from the Club?

Then what would they show at JoeCon?

And last year at Joecon they showed bupkis. I don't expect anything there either.

They had one table and a booth from the Club at JoeCon last year. This year I doubt they will show up if nothing is at Toy Fair.
