I FINALLY got a Cobra Combat Ninja. It took eBay to do it, but fortunately, it didn't really cost me any more -- with shipping -- than it would have if I'd turned it up at Walgreens -- with sales tax. Granted we've got a pretty nasty sales tax in some areas around here.

I must say I am very impressed with this figure. The intricate camouflage pattern is very impressive, the overall design quite distinctive, and he certainly comes with plenty of weaponry. Say what you will about the Retaliation line, they're all well-equipped with plenty of hardware.

Now then -- is it just me, or does this weird alternate head with the single green (presumably night-vision) optic whatever in the center of it make this guy look like a new division of B.A.T., or what? 8-O

No offense Wheeler, but where have you been?

It's the "Blue Ninja" from the IDW comics.

Combat Ninja is a cool figure indeed and a nice troop builder. At least these guys look a whole heckuva lot better then the first wave's troopers and a lot more screen accurate.

Speaking of all the gear he and the other figures from his line come with, wasn't the big deal in the first wave or two of the Retaliation line that Hasbro was trying to cut costs so the figures came with limited gear and some had limited articulation? Then along comes Lady Jaye with all her gear (yeah, as I understand she was going to be some kind of Con exclusive) then all the figures from the last wave and half have enough gear to equip the previous waves.

The "Blue Ninja" head should've come with the Cyber Ninja instead.

Okay, so I need to re-read my Real American Hero comics a bit more often. You're right, it is the Blue Ninja. I really should have picked up on that, too.

I'm actually not much of a fan of this figure. I like the alternate head, and I love the Asp-style launcher, but the figure itself is kinda blah in my opinion. Just kind of chilling on my shelf until a custom I need its parts for comes along.

Yeah, it's a GREAT fodder fig, but the nonsense MOS kills any enthusiasm for army building him, imho.

yeah it's not like it is a "good" file card. I pretty much ignore the non Hama cards altogether.

A couple of sentences on the package back doth not a file card make in my opinion. Doesn't keep me from thinking it's a cool figure, either. :)

True, but what are you gonna redesignate him as that doesn't already exist?

You could use him as Urban Viper or the colors even lend them to the Arctic front as well
