my friend at work found a box of his vehicles in his parents shed, he didn't fand any figures though.

i know these are "battle worn", but before i go modding/painting any of them, are there any "holy grail" items i need to keep . i can take pics of anything individually that looks promissing. they are all broken or incomplete.

the base ins nearly complete and in pretty nice shape.

file cards and vehicle instruction sheets???? anything worthy of keeping or trading to someone who is looking??? everuthing looks 83-85? destro1 file card cut points lots of cut cards duke, spirit...

i'm more interested in using these for my fanfiction than collecting, so if there is a "rare piece i would hate to ruin it...

Imagethanks for any info!

It all looks pretty rough, so I'm guessing the landing gear on the Rattler are broken? Those are what stand out the most in what you've got.

It looks in better shape than the tech detail boxes i get in the mail, but i don't think any of it is in 'grail' quality.

I think you've just got a bunch of awesome vehicle, playset, and tech detail fodder -

As far as Parts that can command a Premium (More than $1 for unbroken specimens)

Rattler Gunner's Canopy with unbroken pegs is always good...as is a nice body with both the Front landing Gear and Chin Gun unbroken.

DragonFly skids can be tough to find unbroken...check for all 4 small tabs that would hold them on to the body.

Bridge Layer, the arm that connects to the Bridge Breaks often.

HQ..Jail Cell Doors and Walls are often broken...

Asp...can't see but if you have the Gun Shields they're good.

Definitley don't pitch the paperwork...I'd love to see better pictures...could be interested in the Fang box if it's available.

thanks for the insight guys!

i was about to cut the fang box, i won't now.

so far i've decided to frame up two of the instruction sheets and some card art for my friend to hang up. i sent him the pictures and he was amazed that the base was so complete.

the front landing gear is on the rattler, but the rattler and the other jet are sticky. these weren't in a climate controlled room, so high humidity and 100 degree summers for 30 yrs has taken a toll.

the fang box is pretty beat. i do have the instructions and one sticker sheet. not sure if stickers are usable.

this is what i'm planning on framing for my friend. just the front card art, i'll stick the actual filecards away incase someone needs them. the televiper is uncut/punched but i saw one on ebay for $15.

They used to do so much right back then. They caught ALL their lightning in a bottle.

took me a bit, but i think this is the layout that i'm sticking with. i need to get some black poster board to fill in. i might try and get some custom dog tags, but not if i can't get them by christmas. they would look cool in the open space between the blueprints!

Check your local pet stores or even Wal Mart, they have pet tag and ID tag machines, some might still have the Retaliation tags.

That is a neat set up and will look great framed!

The Bridgelayer arm looks intact. That's good. Anything for the Skystriker, Rattler or Dragonfly are pretty nice to have.

If the plastic is sticky, vinegar can clean it up.

"If the plastic is sticky, vinegar can clean it up."

good to know, it's funny too. i restored a 90's chrome GT vertigo/performer a few years ago. vinegar is what was suggested to clean the chrome, worked great!
