So, just caught the first part of an episode of The Goldbergs (it's on after Agents of SHIELD). Anyway, there's a scene featuring two of the kids playing in their basement, and the USS Flagg is set up on a table behind them, with the box next to it.

With Patton Oswalt involved (he's the narrator), I wonder if it's part of his collection.

the goldbergs has turned out to be much better than i thought it would be and its really cool to see when they incorporate the actual footage into the episodes.

Did you guys catch the figure on the USS Flagg at the end of the show? I had to watch the show on demand again to verify it. But there is was, a 1991 Snake Eyes. Didn't fit the time line of the show.

Its much better than I expected. I figured I'd give it a one show trial as a child of the 80's. Then while watching the premiere I found out its written by a guy who grew up less than 5 minutes from my current home. Loads of local references plus 80's awesomeness have made it Must DVR TV.

Perfect replacement for the Office, which was based in my hometown. Its cool to watch a fictional TV show and see/hear inside jokes about local stuff.

My wife gave me the stink eye when I said I always wanted a Flagg. Probably not going to see that under the tree this year.

i just saw larry king, or the demon that inhabits his dead body, interview both the father and mother on RT, pretty good info on this show and how they interact. my wife and i are hooked. i was born in '79 and she was '70 so we both have deep roots in the 80's.

even though we all know the '90s is what it's all about!
how you livin'? ;)

FYI. The new episode of the Goldbergs was shown a day earlier in Canada. If you want to nerd out, I wouldn't miss this one. Toys from the big three show up and are introduced as the little Goldberg kid wants to impress a girl.
